With the end of this season as Cowboys fans we must think back to why we love this storied franchise. We love the Cowboys because they are the franchise with the best regular season record through their entire existence 0.581% winning record (next best the Steelers @ 0.517%). We have won the most conference championships with 8 (next best the Steelers @ 7), and we have won the second most Super Bowls with 5 (tied with the Niners and behind the Steelers @ 6). We have also been to the playoffs more than any team, except for the Giants who are tied with us for 30 times (btw, Giants have been in the league 35 more years than us). Oh and by the way even with that 13 year playoff win drought, Cowboys are still the holders of the most franchise playoff wins ever with 32 wins (next best Steelers @ 28).

Interesting statistic: First Cowboy dynasty ended in the '77 season (Staubach) with Super Bowl XII, Second Cowboy dynasty started 15 seasons later in the '92 season (Aikman) with Super Bowl (XXVII) and ended in the '95 season with Super Bowl (XXX), could the Third Cowboy dynasty start 15 seasons later in the '10 season? with Super Bowl XLV and Tony Romo leading the way? It's entirely possible.
There has been a Cowboy dominance, strong presence, or dynasty is the 1970s and 1990s while they have struggled in the 1960s,1980s, and 2000s.... could there be an alternating decade trend with the Boys? So ending the decade with a playoff win could be the mark of something great to come over the next 10 years, we can only hope.
