I recall reading earlier this year that most teams will conduct a couple of scrimmages with at least one preseason opponent during the week before the exibition game.

Usually starts around July 27th.
Players report on 25th. And go through physicals. But last year I think they did not go through all that as they already knew who was going on PUP and such.

FRISCO - The 2023 season for the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys is … essentially here.

As CowboysSI.com was first to report, the Cowboys will be traveling to Oxnard for the start of training camp with a reporting date of July 24.

All of this is part of the ramping up to the Cowboys visiting the New York Giants for the 2023 season opener. … but there are milestones needed to get there.

So, it is time to take a look at the NFL calendar, which has now been officially been revealed. So, it is “Save the Dates!” time as we walk you through them …

July 17: The deadline for franchise tagged player (in Dallas’ case, Tony Pollard) to sign multi-year deal.

July 24: The Cowboys depart for training camp in Oxnard. (CowboysSI.com will as always arrive in conjunction with the team).

Some like football and like to see who looks good in practice. Last year, you could see that M. Davis and Bland were good players.
