Will Cowboys address RB in draft or free agency? Here are the names to know

INDIANAPOLIS -- Last year at this time, DeMarco Murray's future with the Cowboys was a popular topic at the NFL's scouting combine.

With Murray now in Philadelphia and his replacement, Darren McFadden, coming off a 1,000-yard season, the running back talk has changed.

How will the Cowboys add to the position?

As executive vice president Stephen Jones explained Tuesday, there's some uncertainty with backup running back Lance Dunbar, who is still rehabbing from a torn ACL and MCL. Dunbar is set to become an unrestricted free agent.

"Obviously Dunbar is a big question coming off a major surgery," Jones said. "He was having a heck of a year before he was hurt. We still don't know exactly how long that's going to be. It's real questionable as to whether he's a PUP guy or if we could sign him, will he be a PUP guy or what would he be?...

I would go draft.

There is some nice prospects in this draft.

I think this years class has more talented guys that will get pushed down into the 4th, 5th, 6th round than last years draft class.

Some of these guys just lack hype like last years guys had.

It's much more reasonable to go with draft. A 3rd round rb you won't be paying much at all. That's not to say forte or Miller wouldn't be cool to have, but best not to go that route.
