I can't wait. My Amazon account says my new phone has been delivered and is waiting in my complex's office for me. My iPhone 6's battery just does not hold its charge, and I've never really liked the iPhone like I like Samsung. I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 before, which was a great phone for its time, but it konked out on me. I moved over to the iPhone 6 as a hand-me-down, so I'm glad I had something to use as a stop-gap, even though it's not my thing. I was really surprised that iPhone has no built-in ability to play ogg files. I have a collection of thousands of oggs that play via my flash card app, Anki. I could have converted them all to mp3s on my computer, but I still would have had to have re-associated them all in Anki. Would have been a massive job. It's easier just to go back to Android. I also like the Note's bigger screen and the fact that it has a built-in stylus. The Note series is a terrific line of phones (except for the 7, which had a very serious problem). You guys gave me Android advice in another thread. Thanks for that. There were actually many possible good choices. I was originally considering the Note 8, but I found a 9 affordably as a refurb, and it's a big improvement over the 8. It's also only one version back.
So I'll be glad to be back to Android. It's nothing against iPhone. They do have some good phones, but Android gives you more bang for your buck and can do things that iPhones can't. I'll still hang onto that iPhone because I need to be familiar with iPhone for my work.
