Will Juanyeh Thomas and Marquese Bell be playing this week?

Will they be playing this week? I would like to see them both out there instead of Wilson. I feel like both bring an element to the table that was missing versus the Cards.

Thomas got zero snaps on defense, but 21 (84%) of ST snaps.
Bell saw a good decrease in snaps, defensively, but still got some(44% in week 1 & 2 to 14%).

I can't see the coaches going back to Thomas for the position Wilson plays. Could see Bell more as that nickel backer depending on score/formations the Pats lineup in.
Just a hunch.

I don't like the way they just put Dono in there and let him play the whole even after messing up, same goes for Kearse. The point is Thomas could've been in a rotation with either Safety, and he's shown some dependability.

Bell looks like he's struggled a bit with his positioning, he's not making plays at the moment. Honestly, I'd like a true LB (Harper) to get some live reps to see how he does.

Glad to have both, and they should get more snaps.
Wilsons return will keep both Bell and Thomas at bay, taking snaps from both until proven otherwise for now.

Bell had a rough one against Arizona. Let's hope he can bounce back. He seems a little bit small to really excel in the box honestly, but I trust DQ. Thomas needs to be out there more often than he isn't. He is a straight up playmaker and always seems to be in the right spot.

Some have to realize and understand that Wilson has missed all of summer with that calf injury, and he is only
now receiving game reps, in trying to get back into play form mode again.

I doubt that the Cowboys are gonna drift away from Wilson, a guy they just re-signed to a lucrative long term contract.
He's too natural of a playmaker that forces turnovers ( sack-strip fumbles, blitzing QBs, and INTs), he covers TEs and RBs underneath he's usually a solid tackler and run support.
Wilson has a terrific knack and nose for the game when he is schemed right. And he is by far our most physical hitting head hunter. It helps sets a physical tone for this defense.

Only if they feel Wilson is still laboring from the calf injury, could I see him out of the lineup, and taking small, limited reps as he makes his recovery and play mode back to form.

According to one Q&A from Broaddus a big part of the run issue was Bell not having the @** to handle the guard getting on him second level!

So not play the guy they just gave a 24m contract?

Bell has been playing significant snaps, most or all at LB.

Bell has played 34% of the snaps.

They already play 3 Safeties (Kearse, Hooker and Wilson). Hard to find snaps for Thomas while those 3 are healthy. It will take more than 1 mediocre game by any of the top 3 before they get benched.

just think Thomas is better at big plays. At least he always seems to be around big, momenetum plays.

I like the chemistry with he and Bell, personally..

I just like Thomas' intuition in pass coverage. Like early days Marion.

Always around the ball I can understand (and agree) , but he's better than Wilson ?

Are you basing that Thomas is better than Wilson off limited plays vs limited guys in the preseason ..vs a guy that
has been making big plays and setting a physical tone the last 2 years he's been under Quinn ?

Of course Donovan Wilson looked a little rusty at a place a little too eager but he's still better than those dudes I get what you're trying to say but I think you're exaggerating like the rest of the defense didn't play bad that game as well.. Every box safety linebacker defensive end and cornerback played like trash against all those edge plays..

So don't come in here and try to tell me how bell and Thomas are better than Wilson just say Wilson didn't play well and you hope that he gets back to his old self but Michael Parsons you want to replace him too maybe we should give Sam Williams more of Micah Parsons snaps since Micah Parsons played like trash as well??! Should we do that I mean we should replace the entire defense...

What I saw from the entire defense was over pursuit they were all looking for the big play the sack the tackle for loss the things that get them on the big replay screen gets them to fill up stat sheets this is what they were doing and this is what needs to stop they're thinking they deserve the moniker doomsday defense three and they're trying to prove it all trying to make the big play and forgot to do their assignments you know breakdown stay in your lane etc..

When watched that game that's what I saw a bunch of players trying to make the big big impressive play and forgot their assignments because they we're playing the lowly Cardinals they we're expecting a ton of sacks and interceptions in blowout and wanted their pound of flesh..leranig lesson.. when you don't play your assignments, you get beat

more overreaction, i mean if we're going to replace players the entire defense would need to be replaced.. they were all out of position over perusing to make the big hero play.

Thomas is “a biscuit away” from being a LB. I’d like to see him try that role.

They just paid Wilson, he is going to play and play a lot. Let's just hope last week he was rusty since he missed so much of the preseason and regular season games. They need him coming up in to support the run defense the way Thomas did the first two games. Thomas looks like he has football instincts. The definitely missed that last week.
