That's a play call sheet and not a play book. It's not going to help a team any. I don't recall seeing X's and O's drawn on those.

NFLN or ESPN can’t remember which. Was praising MM for getting the plays in quick. Dak getting them to the line, and running the plays.
So no one could really get what was called and have time to relay it to the defense.

As opposed to the Dolphins coach who they said was the opposite, thinking it all out.

I saw a closeup of it. It was random lines from “ Billy’s got two Mommy’s” on the cover. Not football related so I was relieved to see that.

Playing the Patriots soon. You can safely bet that cheating you know who will have a professional lip reader with binoculars on the payroll for a week.

I’m not sure how much it’ll really matter. I mean for someone to actually read the lips of MM, decode the play, relay that to the defensive players and adjust the defensive call all within 15 seconds or so then kudos to them.

Really the only thing you get from those situations are typically a short play call = run, long /wordy play call = pass. Even then if a team does start to catch on you call a run play, mouth a few extra meaningless words after, and confuse em that way.

Regardless this is pretty insignificant.

After the Cowboys' victory, I watched the end of Broncos' loss, and Mike McCarthy's career equivalent/media-proclaimed football genius/god Sean Payton was not covering his mouth while calling offensive plays. The announcers weren't blathering on and on about it either.

It's stupid....there is no way you can think you read his lips correctly and have enough time to adjust when you are getting out of the huddle as fast as we were.

I feel confident the Romo was talking about that in jest. Some coaches are all superstitious and cover up there mouth, and some don't. It's not a serious thing

I was trying to read his lips. I believe he said something about what he was going to have for dinner after the game.

Most plays are sent in using code words, so even if you could read his lips that doesn't mean you'd know what the play is. It isn't like he's saying, "OK, let's run a three-step dropback toss into the flat to the running back." Each team's language is its own and there may even be some changes to it from game to game.
