Will Philadelphia Play Into Dallas' hands?

The Eagles run the ball more than any team in the NFL. Even with a strong receiver core and a QB that is playing at a high level this year, the Eagles love to run the ball.

If they try to control the game by running the ball and Dallas also tries to control the game by running the ball, and both teams succeed as each defense struggles against the run, then this might wind up being a short game and a low score. A low scoring game is Dallas' best chance to win.

If I was Philadelphia I would use a lot of play action, bootlegs and misdirection to establish an aggressive passing game in an attempt to get an early lead and make Dallas throw the ball, playing into Philadelphia's defensive strength.

I wonder which strategy the Philly coach will choose.

I’m sure they will do the same as always. Sanders and Hurts on RPO’s and short passes to Brown who’s a monster, and Davonte deeper.
They set a record for fewest runs against Dallas last year. Not sure always is an apt description

I hope Parsons is healthy. It appeared he was having some health issues the last couple of games. Parsons under the weather is still better than anyone playing. I think he has the team up for the game and all the guys on the defensive line will reap rewards from his play.
I hope Rush continues to do what he needs to do on offense and we put up at least one more point than the eagles.

Good post. If anything, I’d stick to the run even if down two scores. It’s really a foolproof way to beat us until we stop it from happening.

A lot of what the cardinals did with kyler Murray last year I’d assume. That was run away from parsons…. Use some rpo stuff in the opposite direction.

when you line Micah up at end it kinda shows our hand…. Would be smart to maybe send some blitzes that way and back Micah out in coverage at times. Different looks

That was well thought out. But I think they’ve been doing exactly what you said. This season. He always doesn’t rush when he’s on the edge

Hurts has been leading the way with 6 rushing TDs, and why they are undefeated currently, let Donovan Wilson be the spy and this defense is going to change that equation for philly quickly.

Their most apparent weakness is their DBs. If we can exploit that with short passes over the middle and to the outside, we have a chance to convert on third downs with the help of our running game. We need to maintain time of possession in a big way. If they tire out our defense, late in the game they'll resort to a hurry-up offense and increase their likelihood of scoring. We can't rely on Rush to put up 24+ points. The game has to remain close for us to win. Dinking and dunking could go a long way to winning. Our wide receivers can't afford to drop balls as they have recently.

I don't know if they'll play into our hands or vice-versa. My hope lies in seeing our guys playing with the level of intensity that they've done so far in the season. If that occurs, we'll surely hold our own and, perhaps, do well enough to leave with a win. This game will be hard fought by both teams, like most divisional games.
