And can Ramsey take CeeDee out of the game? If so, this may be a game when the defense needs to surprise us.
Thoughts?

I think they will play a lot zone like the 49ers and Bills did. If they can rush only 4 and get the type of pressure the Bills did vs us look out. This could get ugly quick.

yes, finally somebody with some common sense, an offense cannot function when the Oline's getting beat by a four-man rush and the play caller abandons an effective run game far too early...they played max zone coverage and made the lanes and separation hard to find.

however most teams cannot play with just a four man rush most of the game..

Ramsey was never a shutdown corner even when he was heralded as such. I will never forget him getting roasted by Gallup in that 2020 season opener and flopping to draw an OPI to hide the fact. Then we all watched him get eaten alive in the Super Bowl by Cincy's guys. He has probably fallen off more than Gilmore despite being 3-4 years younger. I hope like hell they try and travel him with CeeDee and they try to let him single him up. Lamb will have 150 yards if they do.

It's not just zone and rush four.. they also have to cover our guys. The Bills and 49ers did a decent job of it. I'm not sure Miami can. Maybe they can but I don't think their front is as good as those other two. Definitely not as good as the 49ers. We shall see.

Did this happen in the Buffalo game? Didn't Dak have like 12 or 13 pass attempts in the first half to 10 called runs? I guess though if you count the scrambles (2) and sacks (2) that would equate to 17 called pass plays to 10 called runs.. But 4 of those pass plays were in the final minute of the half so really it was more like 13-10. Not really that out of whack but yeah on that one drive it was 3 passes and punt. I didn't like that but for the most part it seemed like they tried to stay balanced. But the flip side is that in those conditions they should have leaned more into running the ball and to hell with even calling all the damn pass plays. That's what Buffalo did and it was the smart thing to do.

dude i'm trying to forget that game i still have PTSD from that game but IMHO should have gave pollard to a lot more carries...TP 11-52 20 total runs counting Dak lOL come on man!! i thought this was a kellen moore issue but i'm starting to think this might be an area still of concern.

i realize the game got out of control the score got bigger you don't run as much..BUT if its working, why didn't they stay with it more.. if it was 10 runs the first half...than only 10 the 2nd but only

game total
tp-11
rico 3?!!
hunter 1

thats 15 by the backs..ughh i don't care what kind of game you're in that just seems like to me given tp was at close to 6 the first half...

Well we know McCarthy likes the passing game too so I don't think we're ever going to see a Chuck Knox or Marty Schottenheimer gameplan out of him. That said, he's usually smart enough to run it more than Moore did in games like that one. But yeah... there is legit cause for concern that when things don't go well he doesn't thing to run the ball and settle things down and goes pass heavy. But it was 21-3 at half so I don't put much stock into what went down in the second half. I can't help but think that had we matched Buffalo run for run the game would have been much closer and then we could have left it up to Dak to bring a win home late.

Probably depends on if Xavien Howard is playing. If he is then, no.
They run 2 high safety with mostly zone coverage when they have both CBs.
Never say never, I guess.

Ramsey has been preposterously good. I think I read that he has the best passer rating against since the stat has been used.

Both Safties and CB Howard are all questionable.
Miami is ailing a bit.
