Will the TO Bias ever stop?

I too used to be a TO hater and didn't really want him here..... However, while he's been the same great player for the Cowboys, he's also been a totally different person than we saw in Philly or San Fran.... He's gone from being a cancerous precense, to being a leader and a teacher on our team....

I dont think that what TO did should be a penalty, I dont really think that celebration was too excessive... That said, I dont really care for it... And if they're gonna call that, he needs to choose more wisely where he busts that stuff out.... Also I think TO's celebration was a little more elaborate there, just because it was his first TD of the season...

I'm glad he's toned it down quite a bit, since coming to Dallas.... He has a few elaborate "dances" during the season, but he's definitely toned it down quite a bit....

Whatever you think of the call?

TO does some stupid sheet on the field. (I dont like the celebration rule)

He shouldnt have pushed the DB.
He shouldnt have done that sprinter celebration.

But the giants can throw the ball at our play clock hard enough to almost break it...and no calls?! Not even a delay of game.
Listen, I know that because of lost yardage getting a penalty for anything is not well recieved anymore, but I must admit I still love the ocassional touchtown dance , spike , strut, celebration....or what ever being pumped up causes them to do.;)
I still believe like most on this board that the Cowboys get those calls more often than alot of other teams because we see it everytime we watch a football game....even if its not a Dallas game.

Thats right. He should have gotten flag for that. Good point.

I agree the celebration rule needs to be changed. Let them celebrate. What does it take 5 seconds or less? Even if it took 10 seconds. No big deal.

BUT right now its a rule and TO has to put the importance of the game ahead of his celebrations.

I didn't have a problem with the PI call. He did extend his right arm. I think the corner flopped a little, but when you extend that arm they are probably going to call it....unless you're Randy Moss.

YAKUZA

The call in and of itself was not bad. What bothers me was that the DB initiated contact with his arm. I don't see how you can call it when the DB does that. If the DB does not intiate it would be an accurate call IMO.

I love watching TOs shtick just as much as I loved watching Deion dance. It was the opening game that we were the far superior team. Now maybe if it had been the NFC Championship game, the penalty would have been bigger.

IM so sick of this guy getting stiffed. That offensive PI call on him was the worst call I have ever seen. How can you call that if you dont have issues with the player? Did you see TO saying "wow" after the call? Also, that was a clear TD prior to the half. Call should have been reviewed no question. The zebras had a huge impact on his stat line in that game.

I was pleased that they did flag the Cleveland db for hands to the face. I guess you have to call it when his head snaps back.

I was a huge TO hater prior to his signing in Dallas. I have learned to like the guy over the last few years.

I have no problem with them calling Owens for interference since he did push the defender's arm away, which gave him more separation.

My problem was that illegal contact should have also been called on the defender since he's not supposed to put his hand on the receiver after 5 yards.

In most cases, the referees would have just seen that as hand fighting and not called anything, but if he's going to call something on one player, then he should also penalize the other.
