Will we draft a guard?

Gurode is supposed to fight it out for center. So we have Peterman, Kosier and RIvera. So we will need to get one more. That is if BP does not decide to move Tucker inside. Of course I have heard some say that Pettiti would be
better inside as well.
My guy is Max Jean-GIlles; a real beast and a lot like LA- only quicker.

There are many people, including myself, who are expecting us to draft a LB but, quite honestly, I would not be surprised in the least if we go OT and OG with our first two picks. We need to infuse the OL with some new talent.

More than ever after releasing Larry Allen yesterday, I want Deuce Latui of USC in the 2nd round.

About the only guard I'd consider with a first rounder would be Gilles. Even then I'd rather trade down if we're considering him. However, if LA ends up cut, yea, draft a guard with starting potential.

Yes, we do but it doesn't necessarily have to be Day 1 picks in a Draft this deep on OL. There will be very good guys drafted in the 3rd round this year.

He isn't too big for Parcell's tastes?

Yea, but Silverbear would be in heaven if we drafted someone that large. He likes his football players Super Sized ;).

David.

Hos - IF Latui AND Jonathon Scott were both available with our 2nd round pick, who would you take?

Tough call, but I'd probably have to go with Latui. If one of our starting guards goes down, you've got Gurode and Peterman, which is rather scary scenario. At tackle, if flozell or RT goes down, you've got to think that either Pettiti, Columbo, or Fabini can do a decent job.

But as I said, tough call. I really like Scott as well. Scott can also longsnap, which could be a big asset for him.
