Winston Justice from USC, OT

A good thing about him is that he IS a right tackle and has played RT all through college.

No way theres another wuss like Rogers out there. USC has a history of quality OT's. Rogers has got to be the exception to the rule.
 
Give me Taitusi Lutui, the 6-6, 365 lb. run blocking behomoth from USC.
 
Justice is a GREAT ORT. I've watched every play of the USC vs Texas game, and he never missed a block or assignment. He was the best OLman in the game for either team. Just watch him play, and then look at the overrated Jon Scott (OLT Texas) and see how they compare. There's no comparison. Justice is by far the bes OLman of the two. In fact, can anyone find a more consistent OT (other than Ferguson) in this draft. Justice is rarely out of position, and never got pushed back or missed an assignment. He was consistently getting to the 2nd level. When he got his hands on a defender he completely immobilized them. I haven't watched him all year, so I don't know if he's consistently this good. But if he's played this well all year, then he may not be there for us at 18.

I'd prefer this too. Even though he's a guard and Justice is a tackle, a more important position, I'd still prefer Lutui. Simply dominated last night.

I really want to see us draft this guy

I don't really agree with this assesment. I did not see the domination you are referring to. In fact, I thought that the only adavantage SC had was at Guard. Keep in mind that Texas played a great deal of 3 man front last night. I did not come away as impressed as you appear to have. Conversly, SC really did nothing against the Texas OL. All of them handled there men very capably IMO.
 
Winston Justice has some character issues. Good player, but a risk.
 
There are more OTs in this draft than the ones from Texas & USC. In fact, Eric Winston of Miami is consistently rated higher than any one of the OTs mentioned. Plus, he is a OLT, which the hardest of the two positions to fill. With Flozell due to receive a huge raise, plus the fact he is coming off of a serious knee injury, I think we could get a solid LT at 18.

I know Winston had a torn ACL last year, but he came back this year & had a solid season. Even if he is gone by 18, there is still Marcus McNeil, who is a behemoth at 6-9, 335, and has quick feet for a man his size.

The guy I think is the best OL in the entire draft, though, is Max Jean-Gilles. Dude is 6-4, 345 lbs. of massive road grater. He hasn't missed a game in three years, and has played both LT & LG, so he is versatile. That means a lot in this age of the salary cap. We can always draft a true OT in the third rd. There are always guys like Jami Hightower, OT, Texas A & M, and Jeremy Trueblood, OT, Boston College, who fall to the third. Both are massive OTs who have proven themselves against top competition. I would love it if Bobby Carpenter is still there at #50 in the second. Man, can you picture Carpenter on one end of the line, and DWare on the other on 3rd & long?!!

Amen brother...he's the stud, and did you see him pulling and getting to the corner....he's going to be a star, more in the LA mold.

What is an OLT?

I've heard OT, LT, and RT. OLT is a new one.
