I love the Winter Olympics and really looked forward to this but I am having a problem and am wondering if this bothers anyone else?

The lack of silence and just enjoying the athlete's presentation would be most welcome and I am going nuts with these commentators not shutting up. It is as bad as the NFL games when they just can't leave a silent moment alone.

Man, I long for the days when there was just one announcer and they knew when to talk and when to shut up and let me get immersed in the sport.

This is like going to a movie and having the people behind you talk all through it. It has caused me to cut back on the viewing and muting is not the answer as I want the ambient sound and the crowd.

agreed....IMO it's been a struggle to watch/enjoy the Olympics for several reasons....

- events taking place in the middle of the night so it's been difficult to not know the results beforehand
- NBC fumbling with gaffs, event selection
- similar to NFL, several athletes continuing the trend of hijacking the events with their social/political agendas
- NBC focusing their coverage just as much on these social/political topics as the events themselves
- seems like 80% of coverage is Curling! lol

Try putting it on a Spanish channel, then switching back.

These announcers are hoping for their 'Miracle on Ice" moment

No kidding and to top that a curler has been accused of doping. You kiddin' me???? What's next? PED's at a chess tournament? Juicing domino players?

Although curling can be a fun at home sport but you need a hardwood or tile floor, a broom, a rake and a can of tuna.

I can’t complain about our coverage here in Canada...our national net gives us wall to wall coverage...
Every event is also live streamed...the announcers are good...CBC utilizes past athletes as analyst...and I think this helps to keep the games about the athletes...

Try a VPN...might be able to stream off their website
