Not much into technology, but I believe they are compatible with either one.

These things are now cheap enough that there is almost no reason to get wired ones.

Yes. I've got 10 different pair (and I've had more in the past) and I've never had a problem connecting Bluetooth to any device. Android tablet, Android phone, IPhone, and even my Garmin fitness monitors.

If your Bluetooth won't connect then your headphones are crap. I've had that happen before.

You can also get some really cheap ones to try out if you like.
Unless you are a high tech guy who wants to best sounding and all of that...you can get them really cheap.
Had one cheap pair and the only reason I went for a better pair was because the battery life was only around 4 hours so I got a pair that was around 8 hours and cost a good deal more.

I think I mentioned that I have worn both of these doing yard work...loud enough to hear them well over weed eater, lawn more and riding mower and I use an old Samsung Galaxy SIII as my mp3 player so if it will work on that...it should work on the newer androids.
