Folks I understand this is likely rock bottom for your Cowboys fandom. It is for me. This is a storied franchise but 1994 is a really long time ago. 30 years of dysfunction and it could be getting worse. Jerry has lived off the Goodwill the franchise developed decades ago. I truly think that Goodwill is gone. This feels different. The question for me is does the toxic ownership of an important franchise persist like it did for Al Davis or does something happen to force a change like Dan Snyder? I don’t know. I do know that Jerry is increasingly unhinged, Stephen is worse, the Rich Dalrymple thing happened, and the fan base is finished with Jerry’s lies and mismanagement. I think this time is different. Dak’s contract is an albatross. Jerry will panic and sign Parsons to a huge deal. He will have unprecedented cap spent on 4 players that are not leaders and in some cases bad guys. The trajectory of the team is down. Fans are going to vote with their feet this time. I am sure of this. We are going to see some negative movement in that stupid Forbes valuation that Jerry hangs on. The pressure is going to build. A new coach will come in and disappoint. Can a Snyder issue develop to force a sale? I put a meaningful probability on that.

I hope this thing gets really, really, really ugly.

It’s the only way.

All the best Cowboys brethren. We are in deep here.

The next 4 games will really be the key. Atlanta, Philly, Houston and Washington. The Cowboys are on L2 now and if that goes to L6 it's going to get very ugly at The Star. Even if they win one and go into the Thanksgiving day game 4-7 with all the national spotlight it will be bad. The season will be over and calls for big changes will only be louder and louder. Demand for tickets will decrease with each loss and the number of empty seats at the games will increase each game.

The big question is, will the Jones clan notice and will they do anything about it when the season is over?

If they lose next week to Atlanta and wash wins, that would put them 3 back...at that point I think the wheels would fall off and the route is on...we will see

I think major senility has arrived and everybody close to him is afraid.

He's mean and narcissistic.

Who knows maybe when Jerry is out of the way his son will say the heck with this I'm hiring football people.

Jerry has been BEYOND obsessed to prove to the NFL WORLD that HE can make it happen.
THE ONE AND ONLY reason we had success in tge 90s is Jimmy Jonhson.
Ever since, jerry has been on this agenda.. 30 years and counting.

That’s what it’s come to.. actually hoping for losses. I see wins as a step backwards at this point because it’s just more snake oil for the owner to sell that everything is just fine. There’s nothing likable here from the owner all the way down. Sad times for Cowboy fans. This is a real clown show!

But once you realize that & can step back and see it for the complete debacle that it is, it's so much easier to hope it all comes crashing down.

I’ve been pulling for a California-level wildland fire in the Dallas Cowboys organization for years now. Jerry is the cancer that is destroying the franchise. He has got to go. He’s got to be dug out root and stem.

Also, his nepotism for his children will likely make this worse as Stephen looks just as power hungry and greedy as his dad, absent Jerry’s intelligence, and I have doubts he won’t swallow up the GM role when Jerry passes. So there isn’t any hope imo when Jerry is no longer on this Earth, either.

The best way to break this chain of imbecility is for the organization to be submersed in a nuclear dumpster fire. Absent that, or something akin to it, we will not be a serious contender for anymore SBs other than having one dropped in our lap by sheer luck. Too much incompetence to overcome…
