With this New Defense we should exercise patience

We should give this team some time to gel and get together before we label them a bad defense. Can we agree to this maybe? I mean asking them to come out and shut every team down just because we have a new scheme is unrealistic. Please give your thoughts

The first few games are definitely going to be a learning curve for the defense. Unfortunately, we play some really good teams during that time period. Hope it doesn't take too long!! LOL

i agree. i think your going to see some blown assignments occasionally and some amazing plays. it’s not going to be the potential dooms day defense like we thought we were getting last year. it’s more of a bend but do t break defense. so your going to see more tight coverage, cb getting PI calls dline missing a gap and getting gashed etc etc

There are going to be growing pains but don't confuse all of them with talent issues. This team is going to get run on, unfortunately, and I am not sure there is anything that "time" will cure. They have a bottom third NFL DT rotation and that's assuming Mazi Smith actually plays a lot better. If he doesn't make a jump in his second year, we have issues.

Most of the Dallas fans would be against giving anyone time to develop be it offense or defense. I think Zimmer is more of show me now guy and would tell you that they have training camp to get it right and if not it will be next man up for him.

that sounds good, but because he wants that can it be done, will the players buy in to what he's teaching
