Witten Is NOT A Lead Blocker...

...to watch him wiff on several blocks at TE , then to have to watch him try and lead JJ into the hole on a running play from the FB position is one of the most frustrating things i've seen in a long time!! The guy is a thoroughbred, pass catching TE. To try and make a mule, workhorse blocker out of him is trying to fit a round peg in a square hole.
Whatever happened to a true FB like Lorenzo Neal who leads the TB into the hole?

So much of our offense is so poorly designed it's a wonder we can run it the little bit we do.

I have to believe that Witten is used during run plays to set up pass plays where he starts to block and then releases. If not, we have some serious problems in the offensive coordinator's office...

agree, but that's Parcells fault for keeping him and not getting a FB. Barnes was better than this mess.
