Women who want economically attractive men

There was a popular article online about women who were frustrated at not being able to find "economically attractive men." Is it just me or is that expression to puke for? A woman who goes for a man for his money is what I would call a "morally unattractive woman." Yuck. Yuck. The best advice I ever got about women was to hide your wealth. I don't know any dude who wants a woman who focuses in on his wallet like a viper. So disgusting. I own two cars, a BMW and a Honda. If I'm meeting women, I drive my Honda. It's a good car that I'm grateful to own. I'm not a billionaire, but I'm very blessed to own some nice things. One thing I don't want is a woman who wants me for the money that I make or the things that I own. I would rather do what is described in a funny Blink 182 song than be with a woman like that. And I notice a difference when I show up to events in my BMW. That attracts women with an attitude like, "I demand equality -- is that the check? -- you pay it." Yuck. No matter how good looking a woman is, if she has an attitude like that, she's more disgusting than that old sea hag on Popeye the Sailor Man.

I hope you guys have found a good woman to be with. They're tough to find.

I would break these women into 2 categories. The first are the gold-diggers. These are the women, usually very attractive, who are willing to give their bodies to guy with a ton of money. The guys get a woman they could never get otherwise. It is a deal they strike and probably both know about. The second group are women who just want a guy who is responsible enough to pay the bills so they are economically secure as opposed to moving from trailer to trailer. I see no problem with either. Adult men can make their own choices too.

That's a dang good summary. Most get grouped into 1 but are more in group 2 I've found over the years. Meet a woman in her 30's compared to her early 20's can change that dynamic/perspective quickly. Most older women aren't as shallow but do expect you to support yourself which is fair, etc.

Men are called shallow when they want an attractive woman, but most women out want a man who's at least reasonably attractive, taller than 5'10" or 6', good job, nice car, dressed well...and of course, "generous". Many get even more detailed about what they want, but suffice to say, men don't care about a woman's money, job, etc., as long as we find her attractive and personable.

Which is shallower?

I learned not to make judgments about what other people do in the romance arena because I don't know what they're looking for in the first place.

Not everyone is looking for that deep connection and as they mature, they start to give up on that. Some women want men with money and some men want women with large hoobahs.

I also think there are a lot of women that crave male companionship/friendship which is why they like gay guys.

First female friend I had that I didn't have ulterior motives about opened a door door for me and I sought that out after that because women fascinate me. But I've been lucky, I never really had one hate me and that's a hell all it's own as I've gone through that with buds too many times.

I don't think there's anything wrong with women after men with money any more than rich men looking for trophy wives, to each their own. And chances are that's a double hook up. She gets the bling and he gets the ego boost.

If I ever hit the Lottery jackpot, I'm in the market for a girl who wants to trade what I want for what she wants. The thought of happily ever after went bye-bye a long time ago.

“Economically attractive” is oddly phrased.

Shouldn’t it be “financially attractive?”

Anyways, folks shouldn’t get bent outta shape either way. If I was in my 30s and looking to settle down with someone, wanting that person to have a solid job/career would be on that list.

I wouldn’t date someone working the cashier at Whataburger or flipping bed pans (no offense kaiser).

First I think it's important to determine if the search for "economically attractive" partners means that is the sole attribute being considered, or is it just one of many?

People (of both genders) like to pretend they aren't superficial, but it's human nature. If we were completely open with no scruples, we'd date pretty much anyone who crossed our paths. I am with a woman who I find beautiful, who stays fit and healthy, who is loyal, gainfully employed, and who is carefree and loves to laugh. Now that I've been with her a while, I'd love her no matter what. But if she were lacking one or more of those qualities, I doubt I would have been as attracted to her at the beginning.

Women have their own checklists too, and they are sometimes different than men's. Some women want financial stability not just for themselves but for a future family. Some also appreciate hard-working, reliable guys. And of course most women like men who they find physically attractive. I've run into women who only want to date 'cowboys' or 'bikers' etc. -- you can't really get much more superficial than that. But if that's what they like, who am I to judge?

So our superficialities might be different, but I believe we all have them at least to some extent. I don't think anyone would want to be "loved solely for their money", but if it's just one of many attributes being considered, it might not be as big a deal to the guy if the woman also checks the boxes on his list too.

"Economically attractive" is like "well educated" when it comes to women looking for a man. It's just a less obvious way of saying they like nice things, but don't like to work for them.

I think women who want money should EARN MONEY. I just find it totally unacceptable to use a spouse for money.

I see 89 year old Bernie Ecclestone (multi-billionnaire from Formula 1) is having a child with his new wife.

I'm sure it's a love-based marriage. She's not with him for his money, for 100 percent certain guaranteed and positively. Nope. Ain't no way that could be true.

Nice post. But life experiences play a part in mate picking also. For instance, I got beat up in the third grade by this big fat girl. She push me down, sat on my chest and tore my arse up. So as an adult I wouldn't date women I physically couldn't pick up.

what women look for in men: = money-fame-good looks

I was in my early 30's and single when I moved to California from Texas. I went to a bar the first week I was here and started talking to a pretty girl. I don't remember how long we were talking but she literally asked me what kind of car I was driving. I thought she was kidding but she wasn't. I didn't realize that was really a thing.

I was lucky enough to meet my future wife here a year later. I proposed to her without a ring and she literally said to get her a cheap ring and spend the money on a hot tub we can both enjoy. I did that and it was awesome. I did get her a nice ring a few years later and it seemed more special to her.
