Dak had a great 2016 and did ok the following years. I know Romo had back problems but he showed he was still viable and dangerous QB in that last season. Could Romo have taken that team to a Super Bowl? He was the comeback kid too and could win the big games. Let’s assume he would have remained healthy and not spiral into his recurring back injuries. There is certainly a chance he would have remained healthy.
Dak would have gained more time and experience with Romo and might himself ended up a better QB.
I am still Salty they gave up on Romo while he was still viable for an upstart that had a good start but faltered ever sense.
