Would the Cowboys do another running back by committee in 2025?

Last year we used Zeke, Rico, #42, and Lupke (on 3rd downs in the shotgun), eventually we let Rico take over the season, when he should have been the sole back at the beginning. Knowing that the Cowboys need a RB, is it going to be a committee with the guys we just picked up in FA (Sanders/Williams and a Rookie?) . Or can we just say hey rookie, you're our future, we're going to go with you, and let one of these vets back you up????? Please give your thoughts

My guess they’ll begin the season with Williams as the starter with the rookie (?) progressively getting more snaps as he gets up to speed in pass protection… unless Sanders clearly beats out Williams I think they’ll try to stash him on the PS used in call up duty replacement for the other 2.
As many backs as that are going to get drafted this season there shouldn’t be a shortage of Sanders type veterans released after camps!

Tbh this draft feels like they are gonna go WR which imo is a mistake. I'd rather trade down in the first and snag someone like Omarion Hampton.

"Running Back by committee" is a flawed concept. Lack of versatility = predictability.

I said before last season that there would be no "RB by committee", and that Rico would be RB1. This season there will also be a RB1- whatever RB Dallas takes in the draft. Dallas correctly wants a 3-down back.

Would they? Will they? Could they? Should they?

Why don't you wait until at least the draft is over and see how the Cowboys address the RB corp THEN you can start asking your multiple questions about what their plans are.

Because he can ask now, and then later.
Then again during OTA”s, then again during TC.

….what are your thoughts now at RB, since we drafted X player, then seen them in sweats, then at TC,

He gets to start 4 threads this way. Instead of waiting.

Wait, 5, 6, 7, after each PS game.

the coog is just planting "seeds of thought". He wants our thoughts to be growing into full size thoughts. Then when he feels they are fully ripe, he will ask us for them .

What team plays with only 1 running back? Teams pretty much have to use 3.

Two of the best runners last year in the league, Barkley and King Henry, how many times did you see a 3rd back????? How many times did you see that 3rd back come in there to take drives away from them, we need a starter. We need another guy to spell the starter for a few plays until the starter is ready to come back in, not be a total focus of the offensive game plan!!!

I'll guess that there was a 3rd back at least 50 plays.

We need a work horse. Some one who xan make the tough yards, make the big plays and carry the twam when needed. We dont need JAGs. JAGs are dime a dozen and with average players in key ositions you get a erage results..just see cowboys for past 30 years

Would you be shocked if they don't choose a rb? Or gets one in the later rounds?
