Would the Eagles lose any of last 2 games to avoid the Seahawks?

If Seahawks lose to Pittsburgh (which is possible against a team fighting hard for a playoff birth), they'll likely be the 7th seed pitting them against Philly.

Why would Philly wanna go against their daddy as their first playoff game and risk going one and done?

They didn't look like they had any troubles beating Baker Mayfield on the other hand.

Personally, I'd rather have Baker Mayfield than the Seahawks but I do see how valuable home field is.

However, 49ers losing might give Philly some hope of getting the 1 seed. I dunno...... the Rams are no joke but I don't think it's a good idea to start off the playoffs in such a dogfight with the one team in the NFL that has a lopsided advantage over you lately.

No one is going to intentionally try to fall from the 2 seed to the 5 seed.

Happens in NBA all the time.

I know its a different league and I am ignorant on what losing the 2 seed does in the NFL. Does it give you some disadvantage? Because NBA teams lose ON PURPOSE at end of the year for seeding reasons related to whom their 1st round opponent will most likely be.

Both billion dollar industries with highly paid and highly educated people running the orgs. Is NBA considered bush league to you or something?

I assume home field advantage is on the line with losing 2nd seed?
