Would you trade up in the second for Van Pran

I don't think there is much of a drop-off between Van Pran and either Jackson Powers-Johnson or Zach Frazier, both of whom could be had in the late 2nd to late 3rd rounds.

I agree, however, that we need to address the center position this offseason.
3 good options if we’re going to take a Center.

I think Van Pran is going to be a 25-45 guy, with 45is being his floor. I think he has a much better chance of rising then falling. Personally I think he is better prospect then Linderbaum was

If he is there in the 40's, would you consider a move up in the second similar to the D-Law trade. That cost us a 3rd.

If you get a quality OT in the first, your OL is significantly improved for a long period of time in less that 24 hours
Hearing or reading rumors anyway that Jackson Powers is going to be the top rated center by the time teams finish their evaluations… may sneak into bottom of first or top of second!

Any of the top 3 centers will work. Biadisz is not it.

I think the Eagles will draft him in the 1st after Kelce just announced retirement.

I think Barton goes late 1 due to his versatility. Powers-Johnson the same or top of 2 if there isn’t a C needy team late 1. Van Pran is probably mid 2 and I’d love a move up for him after watching his tape this year. He got stronger in the short area run game which was my only concern for him before (see Kentucky game ‘22). He’s so great at communicating and handing off stunts and is a dawg at the second level.

This is the Center i like most in this Draft but i wouldnt trade up for a Center for 15+ spots. Thats too expensive and we already dont have much picks this year.
His trade calculation is correct. Go from 56 to 40 or 41 would require our 3rd (88).

But if using that draft capital on a center is your issue, that's another thing altogether.

I get it. Hard to use both our 2nd and 3rd tis year on one payer when we lack picks. Tnen again, if he becomes a long term starter......

Dunno, but I’m all for letting Biadasz walk. Love the attitude but he’s a middling NFL- center at best. He was often the weak link and cause for a lot of pressure we allowed up the middle and penetration that was killing our run game.

Hearing that the draft is thin at the bottom this year, round 5 and beyond full of FA types, teams have to make the most of the first three rounds. Yes trade up.

If we let Tyler walk we’re drafting at C at 24…it’s how we operate.

I think that Powers-Johnson should be their top target. If they miss out on him they try for Barton. After Barton it's the West Virginia guy.

Dane Brugler on the draft show today has him rated a 4th rounder FWIW. Of course the Cowboys dont have a 4th round pick.

This is a real loaded draft in OL Qb WR
the first three pics could be quarterback then Marvin Harrison, Joe alt and somewhere in between those picks you will have someone reach for a QB
There will be some pretty good picks left on the board I’m going to be very curious to see who will be this years player to drop.

Remember his rating is before the entire offseason has even started. In my opinion, he will be more of a day 2 pick on draft weekend.
