What is this 6-7 injuries already? And they are barely a week into training camp!

Only team I know who gets better when their starters go down.

Gibbs could rally teams to do that. Zorn? I'd be surprised.

Not a fan of the Skins, but I do dislike seeing players go down with injuries like that.

I could care less what they do. Their entire team could flop over and tear their ACLs and I wouldn't shed a tear.

How has that strength and conditioning trainer not been fired yet?

You gotta wonder if Zorn's lack of previous OC/HC experience lead him to start too soon in the pads, etc. Don't like to see players get hurt, even Skins players. Besides I got no doubt they'll throw all their injuries up on us when we beat them in the regular season. Skins are the only team, and remember I lived in northern Virginia for about 20 years or more, who believe they only lose games cause the refs were against them along with the NFL FO. Never saw such a whiny team; turned me completely against them and made me into a Cowboy fan. McPuke of the Eagles even sounds like the Skins.

Rookie wide receiver Devin Thomas, the Washington Commanders' top draft pick, was carted off the field yesterday after straining his right hamstring in 11-on-11 drills and could be sidelined for the team's first two preseason games. Thomas went down in the morning practice while trying to make a catch on a deep pass along the right sideline from quarterback Jason Campbell. He will be reevaluated in two weeks, Coach Jim Zorn said. -- Washington Post

a lot of these are hamstring injuries.........their S&C coach isn't doing his job. the players aren't stretching properly before and after practice.

I'm sure there will be some skins fans around shortly to tell us we don't know what we are talking about.

To be honest, it really doesn't have to do with stretching, it has more to do with an imbalance. The Quads are stronger than the hamstring and that is what causes hamstrings to get pulled.

Another Skin injury today:

Montgomery Breaks Bone in His Hand
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/

Defensive tackle Anthony Montgomery broke a small bone in his right hand making a tackle in today's intrasquad scrimmage. After the swelling subsides and he gets some rest, the team will have an idea of a timetable for his return. "It depends on how his body heals," Coach Jim Zorn said. Montgomery was one of three defensive starters (Reed Doughty and Marcus Washington were the other two) who participated in the scrimmage.

Offensive lineman Kerry Brown (shoulder) was excused from the scrimmage; he was the only player absent.
