XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Any old school gamers around here remember the old XCOM or old Syndicate games?

I just picked up XCOM on PS3 and this game is great. Strategy/action RPG style gameplay that really harkens back to the old XCOM on PC long ago.

Anyone else get it? It's a lot of fun.

Used to play the crap out of the original X-Com. Had it on PC back in the early 90's. Every once in a while one of their sound effects will still pop up on a commercial.

I am usually skeptical over remakes/sequels of classic games that were truly awesome but this however has gotten high marks.

Played the **** out of the first three. Great games, great tactics, with every possible alien trope thrown in.

Having a great run right now, only two squaddies knocked out in the first 10 missions. Sadly, my next save seems to be bugged, will have to see if I can work around it, or re-install.

Thinking about getting it. Everyone I know who is playing it, loves it.

Looks to be a safe buy.

The game has an 89 Metascore from Steam. The rating is 8.1 on a scale to 10.0.
