Dear lads and others, I will go into tha good night thinking --- no, believing! believing! --- Derrick Henry, 30, who Kim Hairston of the Baltimore Sun called a "6-foot-2, 247-pound speeding bullet" now of the Ravens would have turned our season around.
Yes, injuries and the Mazi Syndome ™ arose.
But an engine driven by Henry, managed by Rush and electified by Lamb, Fergie and the ascension of Tolbert --- well, as Laurel say, boy howdy!
Derrick Henry was this franchise's big fish that got away. The biggest fish in 20 years of franchise history.
Lads, I believe we'd be in a wild card this week had Yoda not taken a nap before the Ravens pounced! Pounced like the last Stanley cup at Walmart!

In the wise and beloved words of a fellow poster, Gimme your thoughts.

It's just one of many missteps over the years that has made us come up short, if not of the playoffs then in the playoffs.

Exactly how did he get away when we weren't even fishing for him?
I know the fans were fishing for him.
I know The Ravens and other teams were fishing for him.
Unfortunately, your man above other men Yoda was napping and dreaming about Super Bowls when all this happened.

Would Derrick Henry have been good enough to make 7-10 become 10-7? I don't know. And 10-7 doesn't guarantee the playoffs--ask Seattle.

Definitely the most no brainer move that didn't happen and we got some lame excuse they couldn't afford him when they had a good amount of cap space left over.

However, I don't think Henry would have had quite the same year here, nor as many carries, but obviously he would have helped. Probably reasonable it could have swung the outcome of a couple 1 score losses. Though with all the injuries and early dysfunction this would have still been a fringe playoff team at best.

mr Gimme--- i wanted Henry so much...even our O line that had many young lads on it would have been good even for Derrick to plow through...totally opening the door for play

action and the like....we had good enough receivers for big plays....he is close to 250 lb and still runs an easy 4.55 forty....i hope we learned out lesson and i truly think at

pick #12 we can get Jeantry from Boise st....he is a generational back....i am hoping if he is there we pick him

Penn State managed to slow him down. I get the Cowboys don’t play Penn State next season, but give me a break. He tore up the Mountain West Conference so now he can tear up the NFL? Good lord, even Jerry Jones is not that stupid, and he’s pretty stupid.

Dallas needs to draft the best offensive lineman or defensive lineman available when they pick. Jeanty is as useful as breasts on a fish. The Cowboys need to stop being fascinated with shiny things and build a team. It’s OK for fans to be as dumb as stumps. Not OK for Jerry to be, though.

I keep hearing a lot about Jeantry, but I'd be happy with the 2 0hio State RB studs, rated as #4 and #5.

Not as many carries as he got in Baltimore to be clearer. No doubt he would be a huge upgrade, but with everything that went wrong this season I think even with Henry this is maybe a 9 win team that ends up missing the playoffs.

I feel the same way, Royal lad, but PPF is all agog over Jeanty.

He would have been running behind a brick wall in Dallas. He would have been nullified and his stats would be half of what they are now. He was blessed not to come to this craphole.
