Give it up for the Ginger.
He may not be the most athletic QB, or have the best arm in the league, or even on the team. But he's got something between the ears that you don't notice until he's with the first team offense.
I thought the line did better today as well. But I think that's because they game-planned for Rush to get rid of the ball faster. And they were more creative with motions, pre-snap activities, hard counts, silent count etc.
Also, Rush wasn't audible-happy. The players get up there and ran the play they planned on running.
Simplifying the offensive audibles would be much more successful approach this year, because they have a defense to lean on. The offense is more confident that way.
