Yeah, my heart skipped a few beats on some of those 2nd half throws.

He kinda reminds me of Don Strock in his Miami days.
Probably the best backup in his era. Did just enough to keep
you in the game and was good enough to win it more than he lost
at the end.

The team focus seemed to be at a higher level today.

Strock had great arm talent. Rush not really

The dude changes when the lights come on. He’s authoritative and just lets it go. No holding the ball, just let’s it rip. He’s something else

Whatever you say, Rowdy.
Hey, Strock also wasn't a redhead.
He preferred his eggs scrambled with cheese.
Had a penchant for playing pool and picking up the pretty ladies.
Drove a '71 Nova and did doughnuts in the player's parking lot.
Was not much of a golfer but did like to bowl.
Turned down a bit part in "Kingpin" because the Amish freaked him out.
That and many, many more lies....lol. Enjoy the win.

Give it up for the Ginger.

He may not be the most athletic QB, or have the best arm in the league, or even on the team. But he's got something between the ears that you don't notice until he's with the first team offense.

I thought the line did better today as well. But I think that's because they game-planned for Rush to get rid of the ball faster. And they were more creative with motions, pre-snap activities, hard counts, silent count etc.

Also, Rush wasn't audible-happy. The players get up there and ran the play they planned on running.

Simplifying the offensive audibles would be much more successful approach this year, because they have a defense to lean on. The offense is more confident that way.

Just means he delivers in clutch situations. Something we have missed in here for quite some time. Doesn't mean he is the best QB overall on this team, but damn, he has earned his starting job.
