You know Aikman is rooting for the Cowboys in his heart

Yah he's harsh and almost sounds biased when commenting on them. But I think he's just being a good analyst and doesn't want to sound like a homer like Don Meredith or Michael Irvin. I'm sure he bleeds blue when they lose.
Of course he is. You can tell when he calls out certain players/coaches and even Jerry Jones himself, in frustration. He wouldn't do that unless he still wants them to succeed.

Tom Landry didn't after he got crapped on. If I'm not mistaken his wife said Tom started watching the Giants afterwards.

Well.. Maybe because of his falling out with Jerry.
Dude.

The franchise drafted him.

He played his entire professional career with the franchise.

He forged long-term friendships and relationships with players, coaches and others associated with the franchise.

He helped win championships for the franchise.

He has spoken positively about the franchise for decades whenever he was not on the clock professionally as an NFL, not just this franchise's, broadcaster.

He cried during his retirement announcement.

He beamed with pride watching his name presented in the franchise's Ring of Honor.

Do you really believe (just you, no one else) Troy Aikman stopped appreciating the Dallas Cowboys because of a personal disagreement or grievance with Jerry Jones? And probably one that is highly likely not held that seriously by him?

C'mon. What has Aikman said or done that makes you think that?

I was talking about Jimmy Johnson still rooting for them?

Brain fart. Still had Aikman on my mind. My bad.

Johnson very likely has similar personal affections to the franchise as Aikman. It would not surprise me Johnson roots for Dallas, Miami and every college he worked for.

The thing between Jones and him is just that. Between them. Most people can separate a personal grievance from everything else that has happened or will happen in their life. Well, again, most people can.

Why would anyone care if he does or doesn't. He was a great player for the organization and did some great things while they employed him. He is no longer an employee, so if he likes the organization, hates them, is mildly luke warm towards them.. so what. If he said right now on national TV, I hate the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, Jimmy Johnson and everyone associated with them, would that dimish what he accomplished while he was here? No. He would still be a 3 Time Superbowl Champion as the Dallas Cowboys QB.
