With the NFL Draft inching closer each day, Zak Zinter is receiving the recognition he deserves. On Monday, ESPN analyst Mel Kiper raved about the Michigan offensive lineman.

“He has got 40 career starts with a Wolverines. He was a key guy who allowed them to rush for 227 yards [against Penn State],” Kiper said. “Zak Zinter can pull. He’s agile and he’s 6-foot-6, 320 pounds. He is a tough customer.”

"He's durable, he's a veteran, he's a plug and play starter. Zak Zinter is literally the second-highest rated guard behind only Troy Fautanu, who is playing left tackle but will be a guard in the NFL. Zinter comes in now as the second-highest rated guard with a second round grade."

He is injured will miss all pre draft evaluations except interviews. Kiper had him at 32 so he has to fall at least to the bottom of round 2. Right where Jerry loves em, injured, percieved value, and from Michigan.

Might drop him to the 3rd in this draft. Strong OL draft. If thats the case I wouldn't hate the idea of moving down from late 2nd to mid 3rd and taking him and recouping some of those picks we have traded.

The kid was a great college player - sucks that he had a bad injury yesterday. No idea what it will do to his ability to pull, but I would definitely love to see him in a Cowboy uniform.

WVU Center Zach Frazier had an injury in the last minute of the game.
Have not heard anything as to a specific injury other than significant lower leg injury that will keep him out of bowl game.

Could be a good option to look at in lower rounds.

Certainly fits how Dallas operates, and he could even redshirt like most the Cowboys mid round OL picks. At first, I questioned why target a OG, but if he sits out a year that's one more year closer to Zack Martin retiring.

Hard to say. It's a bone injury, albeit gruesome, but I assume he'd be ready by camp.

6-month recovery on a tibia would put him ready in May, but if he's shown decent progress by the combine in April he might not slip too much.
