Pretty much this. Then bring in a DT and a WR. Head to the draftCut one, redo the other.
And the cut one should be Zeke

I would just cut him now, no June 1st cut. Eat all the dead cap now, with no dead rollover into next year. Still adds 4.8mil in cap space right away. Can't use the money until later though

You extend Smith, lower his cap. Release Lewis and get another $5 million back. This gives you money to sign 1-2 solid players. Can't use the money until later though

Release Zeke post June 1st and you get the benefit of that in the future.
They likely will if needed. His cap hits after this year are $16 million then $3. They will restructure him to help the other big contracts neededLet's not limit yourself, what about tank and those other deals
The reason they keep Tyron is because when healthy, he’s still an elite tackle. This might not suit everyone here but I'm in favor of Zeke being cut outright and Tyron being as healthy as he's able to be. He's good when he's at his best and of no help whatsoever when he's out of service. Here's hoping our gallant leaders ( Jerry & Stephen) manage to adjust his salary.
Cut them both and free up 24 million. Easy decision.Cut one, redo the other.

I understand that and am hoping for a prime draftee to be selected to take up where Tyron leaves off next season. I feel like it's time for him to think about retiring, since his health isn't nearly as reliable as it used to be. Of course, until another is procured to replace him, it won't happen. Let's just hope that it's on the agenda before it's too late for him to be replaced adequately. Ball isn't a good bet to replace him and Waletzko may not be, either. We'll wait and see what develops with him in the weeks to come, no doubt. In the meantime, we'll rock on with Tyron, for sure. He'll likely be convinced to accept a salary adjustment, I think. Let's hope so, anyway. If and when he can't play hurt, let's hope we'll adjust with Tyler Smith in the meantime. The reason they keep Tyron is because when healthy, he’s still an elite tackle.
I’d much rather play Tyron than Ball or Waletzko.
