Cam Scattebo

I think you get the next Marion Barber with this guy.

They’re very similar players.

I could see Skattebo going as early as the late 2nd.
He's gonna make some team better this year. I keep seeing the passive aggressive stuff being said about him. It's a bit weird. Just rewatch his games. The guy is a mini Larry czonka. Ruthless player that plays bigger than he is. I want this guy on my team in some role.

If the new staff knows how to utilize a Luekpe, and Vaughn --- then a Skattebo might be the right guy. Power running.
Draft a guy late like a Tahj Brooks, and then rotate carries with Vaughn being the change of pace and H back. Skattebo, Brooks with Luekpe leading would be a nice 2 back rotation and handing to Luekpe would be a good thing.
I could see this forcing teams to bring up a guy in the box, and that is what you are wanting anyway.

How would CD and a FA SDiggs look if they got a steady dose of single coverage?

Let's not get caught up on the combine stuff. Did anyone here see the impact he had against Texas and the games leading up to that? Let's not diminish this kid. In the right system, he can be special. Now I would not use him as an every down back, but I would use him in a committee. I can see a team like the Panthers or Raiders taking him. Both could carve a role for him.
If you're not using him as an every down, then you shouldnt spend a 3rd on him. This draft will have several everydown backs available in tne 3rd round. If you are spending a 3rd on a committee back in this draft, you are wasting resources

Depends on what the coaching staff wants out of their RBs. I don't know every RB out of this draft but Cam looks like that Barber-looking for contact power runner. Does he have enough quickness/acceleration for the NFL?
Guess we'lll find out his underwear times in a little bit. 40 times don't concern me for a power back.

But definitely would like to pair him up with another elusive back.

To me, Cam is a 4th round RB. May go 1 round above or below depending on combine and pro-days.

Your right but if you want him, might need to draft him a bit higher. Worry about his role later I guess. Who knows, maybe he can take on more workload. I kinda see a Christian McCaffrey style and game to him. He can catch and run routes too. Might use him out wide in certain situations because he causes mismatches. We fans would absolutely be giddy if we drafted him. I have a great feeling about him. The Texas game opened my eyes more. He was puking on the field and still balled. He ran deep wheel routes . Hard to bring down. Gritty. Something we sorely lack.

He's going to be much better than a late rd RB when all is said and done. I see him going a rd earlier. Just because teams might be intrigued with him and don't wanna risk losing him.

Neither Vaughn or Luepke are not NFL RB’s, stop the nonsense. Just get an actual RB with the necessary size and speed, there’s about 15 of them in this draft class

With the new staff, I feel Luepke is getting cut. Deuce will have one more camp to prove he can earn it. He might get cut too. No reason we shouldn't still draft a really good RB. We been tinkering with RB, it's time to get more serious.

His only value is being a jack of all trades FB/TE. Has some hands.
But I don't think Arizona had a fullback but Seattle did when BS was there.

Curious to see if the coaching staff values a fullback now that MM is gone.

Well I dont want him enough to draft him as high as you're suggesting

JMO, I have no idea if this coaching crew could utilize a Luepke, Skattebo, Vaughn, etc. They have skills. They each have flaws in their game.

So did Emmitt Smith who was too short, too slow, and too light. Emmitt ended up with the right coaches, and proved he had better vision and heart than any running back I had ever seen. He wasn't Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Tony Dorsett, Barry Sanders, Eric Dickerson or a slew of others-- but that didn't keep him from becoming the best running back ever (at least in his own way, and still stands atop the NFL leader board).

Kind of makes me laugh when people say Leupke or Skattebo can't make it in the NFL..........because I still remember John Riggins running all over teams and taking Washington to the Superbowl. Fullback, 6'2" 230.....too big, too slow, etc........But Superbowl MVP when the proper coaches utilized the proper talent correctly. The game has changed, but the pendulum will swing back this direction again when the right talent meets the right coaching.

Skattebo is all football player, but I want to see how he runs. Size/speed combo is super important for RBs.
He’s a fun college player but my guy says he might be closer to a 4.6 guy than a 4.5 guy.

If I’m wrong sign me up in the mid rounds.
