McClay might actually get the title to the function he has been serving!Brandon Brown, assistant general manager for the Giants.
He was recently passed up looking at taking a job as a GM, but, from what I hear about from Giants fans, they like him.
I get the impression he has no real power, but the few times I guess he's spoken up, he really wasn't keen on how the Giants are doing things, but he of course has to tow the party line.
Couple things about him that I've read up on him that caught my interest...
He worked directly under Howie Roseman for some time, and apparently Roseman was not happy with losing him to the Giants, but happy that he got a promotion to assistant general manager.
Reading up on Brown, like Roseman, he ended up getting a law degree after he got a dual degree in business administration and communications and unlike Roseman, also played college football. Don't know it for a fact, but the kid seems smart.
I know nothing will ever change with Gerry as the owner and GM, but when the baton is ever passed to Stephen, I pray he looks to someone to actually run the team and takes a lesser "hands on approach".
Brandon Brown is a guy I would look to as a possible viable option.
I know the answer to this question, but is McClay held responsible for the players they draft?McClay might actually get the title to the function he has been serving!
Note: Not sure if YouTube will fully enforce the copyright on the video I uploaded and restrict viewing solely on YouTube.com at some point.
Can Chris Rosetti, Director of Pro Scouting, be a package deal with Brandon Brown? I don't know. Maybe sit him in the corner of the room. If Rosetti starts asking questions and twitching around like a crack addict in his chair, it *MIGHT* be a good idea to re-think whatever the freaking topic being discussed...
The season we picked Lamb the Raiders had 2 picks in the top 19. Both were out of the league within 2 seasons.I know the answer to this question, but is McClay held responsible for the players they draft?
At the end of the day, for the next 30 years Dallas may never be at the bottom of the barrel in the NFC east per wins and losses, but the question becomes when will they not be a one and done in the playoffs?
Reality is IMO as long as the Cowboys stay the most valuable team in the NFL, why do they need to make a run for the Superbowl if you're running their "business"?
The chiefs who are arguably the best team in the NFL over the last 5 years only rank 18th per value, and the eagles who seem to be the next "top team" only rank around 8th (although I can't help but think they were ranked much lower in the 70's and 80's LOL).
Not saying you're wrong, but why do you say that? We know Stephen helped convince his dad not to draft Johnny Manziel, so that was a good choice. Obviously that doesn't guarantee other choices will be good, but I'm not sure we can judge him until he has had a chance to do the job rather than be his dad's puppet.Might be worse? He absolutely will be worse.
One can dream...When Jerry passes on Stephen will take over as GM. Like father like son. Nothing is going to change.![]()
And that's when I become an ambivalent "fan"... most likely, I would simply follow college football a lot more. It'll 100% be Stephen and he might be worse
This. It'll 100% be Stephen and he might be worse
Stephen taking over and following Jerry’s blueprint is more like a nightmare. The rotten apple didn’t fall far from the tree. One can dream...
