So Jerry has said they are not going to do alot different in this years FA. BUT Stevie wonder boy said they are re-evaluating and will be making changes. So im hitting somewhere in the middle. This team is decimated on the DL, Needs another playmaker at WR and RB and we have 0 backup QB. So with all that said. Who are some mid to low level FA you would like to see brought on.

DT: (Draft 2 Somewhere)

RB: (Draft 2)
  • resign Dowdel OR Javonte Williams 5m a season

WR: (Draft 1 somewhere)
  • you know its going to be DIGGS opposite Lamb Diggs 10m a season
QB:
  • Resign Cooper 5m a season
Total Spent per year 26M for new starters NOT including Resigning our own guys like Goldston or anyone else.

What would you do?

LB: Denzel Perryman if Kendricks isnt brought back
CB: Bring Gilmore back, pretend Diggs won't play at all
DL: I dont know who but this is where they are going to have spend some money with 1 or 2 wave one impact players. And I don't want to hear any excuses about not having enough money, make it enough.

Instead of Gilmore sign Slay.

yeah Gilmore i think could be a must since we have Diggs recovering probably most of the season. Bland can slide in slot once Diggs comes back and Gilmore on the outsides. I like Perryman but would like Kendricks to return he did a great job as MLB last year and was a surprise in coverage, i really thought he would have sucked due to age but he moved around good, even got a pick.

Pirate Milton Williams from the EAGLES
Cut diggs he's a no tackling punk
Get Byron Murphy
Resign Rico get Harris from Pittsburgh
Draft a quarterback with the first pick use the rest on offensive and defensive line.
And a running back

I'm not against trading Micah for draft picks along with any combination of Dre greenlaw or t Higgins

- Williams is going to make more than Osa. No chance
- They won’t cut Diggs and admit they were wrong
- Murphy, like Williams is going to cash in big.
- I am ok with Rico at RB2 at a certain price. Harris doesn’t do much that Rico doesn’t already do.

I understand invest heavy in the trenches. But they have drafted plenty here.

OL - Smith, Guyton (1st round), Beebe (3rd), Richards, Waletzko, Thomas are all day 3 picks. Ball was a 4th but went to the Saints.

DL - Mazi (1st), Kneeland, Williams (2nd), Rogers (7th). Osa and Golston (3rd) are FAs but one likely returns.

They need these investments to start to pan out. They have proven you cannot just draft trenches and it changes anything.

This team bargain bin shops. Greenlaw? Maybe because he was injured. But teams will be interested in his services.

Higgins? You think Ol Cap boy is dropping $30+ million on a Wr2?

If they want pieces to stop the run, the best non big name LB in free agency is Robert Spillane.
The advanced stats show he's a beast vs the run. Not terrible in coverage either, but not a guy you would put out there over a healthy Overshown on a 3rd and long

Give me a LB that attacks the hole like this:

I love Spillane. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him land in Philly (Baun is overpaid) and Washington (Wagner age).

He will be 30 this year, so he shouldn’t break the bank.

I like the aggressive thinking you make. Unfortunately I think several of those FAs are going to garner much higher market deals than you have listed. The cap is going up by as much as $25-28 million which will certainly drive up the costs for free agents.

Take Rico Dowdle for example. He will definitely get more than $5 mil a season. It will be more like $6-8 mil. Spotrac projects a RB like Rico’s market value to be a minimum of $6.2 million. And that projection was done before Roger Goodell announced yesterday the cap was going up.

I’m not saying this means the Cowboys won’t try to get Rico and other FAs you have listed but it will almost certainly require a higher price tag. Whether our FO is willing to spend remains to be seen.

Here we go again. The fans wish list vs Jerry's stubborn attitude towards free agency. If you think Jerry is going to dip into free agency after saying he is not going to do anything different this year then don't be disappointed when he signs nobody.

The best we can hope for is he makes an attempt to sign 2 or three of his own free agents.

$75 million available with new contracts with Prescott, Lamb, and Parsons. Other wise Dallas is looking at a $2 M deficit as it all plays out here and now.

It is finally much smarter for Jerry to clear a sum up and use it this off season!

The delayed Lamb and Prescott’s extensions freed up $9.251 million and $10,516,867 of 2024 salary cap room respectively. The Cowboys could gain $12.3 million in 2025 cap space with this type of Parsons extension where he receives a $52.5 million signing bonus that’s prorated at $10.5 million annually from 2025 through 2029 and his $24.007 million option year salary is lowered to a $1.207 million 2025 base salary to make his 2025 cap number $11.707 million. Parsons would be getting a non-quarterback record signing bonus eclipsing Bosa’s $50 million, which is the current benchmark.

I saw Dallas' free agent list that an employee leaked on the deep dark web. Hope I don't get into any trouble showing this.

Guys I'd be looking at:
safety Talanoa Hufanga
Dre Greenlaw, LB
Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt (wants to be traded)
BJ Hill
defensive tackle Jarran Reed
Lavonte David
Khalil Mack
Javan Hargrave - I think before the cap increased so much he was going to be cut, now not sure

Good grief, 6 million? No thanks

Sticker shock season is about to start. I expect Rico to garner something between $6-8 million. We must always remember that the market is what dictates the cost of signing players. It’s never what we think a player is worth.

I always come back to how much we paid Trey Lance last year - a $5.1 million total cap hit - to be our emergency QB most weeks. Yikes. The egirls structured Saquon’s contract last year to be a $3.8 mil cap hit. They will will pay a lot more this next year but unfortunately our FO has not been very good at managing cap hits.
