News: PFT: Lane Johnson: When Kellen Moore addresses the offense you see what a genius he is

They all look smart with enough talent on the field.

I have two different ways to look at it. The first being the numerous replays where all the wideouts ran to the same depth and curled back. Or when Cooper was on the sidelines for 4th down and the season.

The second being he was hamstrung with McCarthy and not allowed to do exactly what he wanted.

Time will tell. I dont see much point in debating it now.
Dak will never be labeled as “smart” no matter who the OC and HC is. Look it up in Webster…dumb nfl QB = Dak Prescott.

The answer to the question (did we hire the wrong coach) is likely.....YES.
No doubt in my mind. Kellen would have done things his way....and eventually the front office and him would have clashed. But if they would have let him have control...and not meddle...then I think it could have worked.

Eagles fans complained about the lack of vertical attack.

He was just bailed out by the best OL, RB and a QB who does not turn the ball over
This. If it wasn't for Barkley playing like the league MVP, the Eagles would have been calling for Kellen Moore's head.

lol giving KM credit for that philly win is hilarious...we did figure out what he needs to win though..only the best defense in the league, and leaving was a good choice because he wont get that here....

Rely on a defense he had nothing to do with - check

Feed Barkley regardless of YPC...keep bating KC - check

Let Hurts "see the field"...take off at will - check

TRUE GENIUS! Never been any more innovative OC than that!

It's the Jerry Jones hate reactions they literally anything that Jerry does is going to be wrong so they're going to pick the opposite they have 0 shred of evidence that he would've been a better choice yet we have 5 open threads just on Kelly Moore isn't that something went from dud to stud all of a sudden we will rue the day we didn't hire what van said Jerry would have been full of nepotism full of himself that he could turn Keller more into Sean McMahon much like Garrett they were calling him Garrett 2.0 they were happy when he left the chargers cut him but now because he won a Super Bowl with a loaded roster and Jerry didn't pick him of course we're getting these type of reactions this is what our fan base does.. They overreact and find everything they can to complain about that is what they do so they're gonna complain about Brian schottenheimer even though he's already has his staff assembled which is a very good staff from what I can see on paper way above our expectations but still before more even gets to New Orleans before he even puts a staff together we're calling this a mistake..

This place has sunk to an all time low full of hypocrites and Cowboys haters...
29 years and counting. Jerry is not a competent GM.

What bankrupt reasoning. you forgot the adverbial phrase 'about everything.'

There is a difference between being a malcontent and not liking anything and someone that doesn't like malcontents, no?
So...you keep track of EVERYONE so carefully....you know full well they don't like ANYthing, and in fact just use this website to complain about their miserable life.

Those miserable malcontents!

On offense he had support. The notion that Dak had nothing on offense needs to end.

2016: Dak, Zeke, Zack, Tyron, Fredbeard, Dez all were PB players.
2017: Tyron, Zack, Fredbeard, Witten all were PB players
2018: Dak, Zeke, Coop, Tyron, Zack all were PB players.
2019: Zeke, Coop, Tyron, Fredbeard, Zack all were PB players.
2020: Year of suckage, Dak injured after five games.
2021: CeeDee, Tyron, Zack all were PB players.
2022: CeeDee, Biadiaz, Zack (I'll give you that Biadiaz was not really a PB player, he made it because others opted out. Kelce was playing in the Super Bowl).
2023: Dak, Tyler, Zack, CeeDee, Fergie all were PB players.
2024: Another year of suckage and injured Dak.

The offense always had more PB players from 2016 to 2019. The offense always had talent.
Again, Dak has never had the best OL, the best RB and the best defense all at the same time.

He sucks, bro.

He's had an offense with 3 1st team All-Pros on the line AND the rushing leader.

He didn't win a playoff game with it.

Losers lose.
LOL, his rookie year? No one expected him ever to start a game his rookie year. He went 13-3 with that team, a 34-31 loss to the Packers were he had a better passer rating than Aaron Rogers did? That's the proof that he sucks? Try harder.

He had 2 1st team All-Pro linemen and the rushing leader his 3rd season.

It's not hard finding Dak failures. I promise you.

LOL. You do realize it was an Eagles player who said this, right?

When he was with Cowboys he had them as a top 5 offensive team in the league multiple times but was blamed by Dak stans for Dak stinking it up in the playoffs.
It gives a whole new meaning to "different strokes for different folks."
Perceptions often change drastically in different environments. :muttley:

Huh? He wrote 'about everything' and you ignored it. I paid attention to what he wrote.

You're doing it again. You are not accurately representing what is written and responding with angry non sequiturs.

Was Dak the problem with the LA Chargers too?? Last I checked, Kellen Moore flopped with the Chargers. I don't want to hear any excuses.
Moore didn't flop with the Chargers, they changed HCs and found a new home. Justin Herbert was injured in 2023 and pretty much played at the level he always does.

Herbert has shown that he's simply a tier below the elite. Only so much OCs can do with that.

This was the one guy I was ok with bringing back. He had been out in the other teams and that's a big learning advantage.
