Reasoning for Cowboys picks

1st Round Ashton Jeanty- We need a workhorse RB. If Brian Schottenheimer learned anything from Marty Shottenheimer. It's run the ball.

2nd- Jared Ivey- We need a RDT who can rush the passer. We also need a LDE if Kneeland or Sam Williams don't step up. Ivey is 6ft-6 inches,285 lbs. He probably could put on 15 lbs no problem. He can rotate with Mazi,Justin Rogers at DT. Be the DT Rush specialist or put him at LDE.


3rd- Quincy Riley- A need pick. Trevon Diggs might not be ready with his knee injury at the start of the season.Really not sure if he's the same player. Jourdan Lewis most likely leaves in free agency. Daron Bland ,Caelin Carson, and Josh Butler also had injuries last year. Riley is another fresh pair of legs to compete. Also can backup as a returner.

You lose out on the only RB who can be a game changer in this draft and for what? A extra 3rd or 4th round pick? We have 10 picks already. Also doing trades in this Mock Draft is like expecting that other team to just go along with the trade proposal.

I love Jeanty and if he gets past the Bears he could be the pick. Now I personally would not pick him there based on how far away this team is but I think Jerry would have a hard time passing on him. At this point Jerry has to sell hope to a skeptical fan base, not to mention tickets and gear.

The other team(s) would definitely want to trade up for a chance to get such a "game changer RB" in Jeanty if what you are saying about him is true, wouldn't they?

If you say, "No", you are being hypocritical of what you so highly labeled such a RB and worthy of the Cowboys sacrificing to get a RB when we have bigger needs at other positions but not enough draft picks in the first 4 rounds.
