Who are you taking .........since it's a deep class of DTs and Jeanty is gone, I'm trading down a couple of spots and taking Campbell or Simmons. I can still add DT and RB later.

Mykell Williams

Campbell might be a G so I’m not drafting that in the top 12.

Nolen, DT or the Oregon DT.

But if I had to pick from that list on the right, either Williams or Warren.
Seriously, I would take Warren if had to. Don't care that they spent a pick on Schoon.
Ferg will be an UFA, make him trade bait for a day 3 pick.

Trade down and pick up an extra 3rd or 4th.
Pick one of the DE's (I include hybrid JWalker, Scourton, SStewart (Carter, Pearce and Green gone)) or DL (Harmon, Nolen, Grant, TWilliams (Graham gone)) later in the first. (BPA in position of biggest need) (10 DL and a hybrid that all could help the Dallas Dline)
Pick the other of the DE's or DL in the second. (DWalker - which you might be able to get in the 3rd), various others will fall or be available
Use the trade down pick on a RB in the 3rd/top of 4 (Power back with size preferably -- bell cow: I don't really care about top speed, just that he can block, durable with vision, and gets 4+ ypc)
Use 4 for the best Mike left on the board. (Campbell, Knight, Barton, etc) If you can find a Mike that can stack and shed, while playing downhill, AND cover middle zone, you can be golden.

These 4 need to be able to start ASAP. If Gholston is resigned, you can actually utilize Parsons at both DE and LB and be able to change your defense based upon who you play.

Then use all the rest of the picks for players you think have a very high ceiling, even if they are boom or bust players, and try to develop them. OL, WR, LB, S, CB, QB any of these could use some churning.

I hear ya, and tend to agree. But just remember that Zack Martin was taken just a few picks later than that at 16. And Fred beard was taken at 31, I believe? Many thought that was a bit too high for a OG and way to high for Fred. In Martin's draft there weren't many other blue chippers so he wasn't seen as a reach when other drafts he probably would have. But if you know that he's worth it, then he's worth it regardless of perceived value.
And I'm not saying that Campbell is, but I am saying that if he, or even Simmons is, don't be afraid to pull the trigger, if need be. Having a stud, even on the interior of the line or at any position, is worth the loss of "perceived value".

Thanks to the depth at DT, I might be willing to do a slight trade-down, but I'd still take an OT. It's easy to cite the depth at the position as a reason not to take one until later, but there's a reason some are considered first-rounders. I'd target Nolen, Grant or Harmon and if I traded down, but would be happy to stay at 12 and take Nolen.

We have too many early resources on the OL…we need to have some faith and let them develop. We have much, much bigger issues IMO and Campbell and Williams are fairly closely rated prospects so I’ll take the bigger need.

If they were rated like 10 spots apart? Sure, I’ll take the OLmen.

I love Jalon Walker but not sure the Cowboys will like him, will have to see if he visits Frisco.

Better be ready to take someone at 12, because I don’t know that there will be any teams that will want to trade up for what’s left in this year’s class.

Give me Nolan in this scenario

I just can’t keep drafting linemen . It’s enough

I’m looking to trade around the draft board this year and get a top 100 qb,rb, wr AND DT

SOMETHING like ewers, Omarion hampton, egoba and a dt

You have to be careful with " The deep class, so Ill draft later " stance. It usually doesnt work out that way. It usually means there is a better menu and places where guys should have gone. Its doesnt really mean you'll value later. Thats a misconception. There tend to be big runs at those positions.

A good example of depth not meaning value : The historically deep 2020 WR class. Was considered the deepest since 1996, which is a practically unbeatable class. With that depth, only 1 single WR drafted outside the top 35 has more than 200 career receptions in

josh simmons,ot-ohio state.
i'd also strongly consider ben morrison,cb-notre dame or williams from georgia.
but on the clock today...
simmons and on to day 2.

Did you just watch the Super Bowl? The Eagles are the blueprint on how to beat elite QBs…pressure pressure pressure.

We have 1 legit pass rusher on our team if Osa walks…a DE opposite of Parsons that can create pressure when eating 1:1s is a big need.
