You are on the clock at 12

You have to be careful with " The deep class, so Ill draft later " stance. It usually doesnt work out that way. It usually means there is a better menu and places where guys should have gone. Its doesnt really mean you'll value later. Thats a misconception. There tend to be big runs at those positions.

A good example of depth not meaning value : The historically deep 2020 WR class. Was considered the deepest since 1996, which is a practically unbeatable class. With that depth, only 1 single WR drafted outside the top 35 has more than 200 career receptions in
Understand but one draft guru ( guy over CBS I think ) said he had a 1st grade on 12 DTs last year but has 24 this year.

Thats got to be a mistake 1st round grade on 24 DT'?
I think he meant to say draftable grades…

This is arguably the best RB and DT class I can remember in the last decade. I have zero concerns drafting 2 of each even if we do sign a player in FA at both.

If you high caliber guy, I think you need to take one by 44. I think the real quality DT's are going to get pick clean by 50.

Graham, Nolen and Grant are my first round grade DTs. I'd love to have any one of them at 12.

I think there's a significant drop off from that group to Harmon, Norman Lott, Darius Alexander and Tyliek Williams but those guys could still work out.

Did you just watch the Super Bowl? The Eagles are the blueprint on how to beat elite QBs…pressure pressure pressure.

We have 1 legit pass rusher on our team if Osa walks…a DE opposite of Parsons that can create pressure when eating 1:1s is a big need.
I just feel like that side of the ball is screwed no matter what. Something about their construction doesn’t fit . It’s liek they’re all undersized at every spot

What I like about Tyler Warren is you are getting a utility knife for the offense........an elite player for the passing game, running game and OLine.

I think there will be guys that can help in year 1 available in the 3rd and even 4th rounds.

I think weakness at OT was also on display in the Super Bowl. Offensive and defensive lines need to be strong so drafting to improve either is a reasonable move. I think they are more desperate for DL, but Guyton was such a disappointment last year I can see why some people want to take an OT> I think the Cowboys will show more patience with Guyton though.

Guyton was a rookie who battled through injuries…he had a stretch mid season where he gave up like 3 pressures over multiple games. He needs to clean up the penalties and get healthy. Half of this fan base would’ve given up on Tyler if we had this same mindset after his rookie year.

We have a developing 1st rounder at LT with high upside…getting a pass rusher that can help Micah is a much bigger need IMO.

Wanting Nolen at 12 is crazy work
I don't personally agree with it, although I'm a huge Nolen fan, but I believe one of the NFL.com guys had him above Graham.

He's got elite explosiveness for an interior guy his size. All the physical traits are there for him to be a pro bowl level 3T which is incredibly valuable. He's improved a ton this year. If his tape from '23 was the same as '24 he might be considered the top DT in this draft, but it was pretty rough. Have to find out what changed for him motivation wise and see if it's sustainable.

josh simmons,ot-ohio state.
i'd also strongly consider ben morrison,cb-notre dame or williams from georgia.
but on the clock today...
simmons and on to day 2.
Amazing how many people believe in Guyton....after how abysmal he was. I'm taking Simmons and moving on.

I agree. But I read at least one article last year that implied Guyton is soft. If that is the case, I don't see a good future for him in the NFL.
