I'd try to sign Eric Ebron and Richard Rodgers in FA. Draft a TE on day 3. Add those to Blake Jarwin, Dalton Schultz and Cole Hikutini and tell them only 3 make the 53. Let the competition begin.

excellent number 2 if he fits in the new scheme, we ll have to see how hes evaluated, sometimes letting guys walk is better for them than being stuck on a team. im a fan of Jarwins and loathes Witten returning. However, we might have a new scheme, new direction and if Jarwin isnt able to adapt or not in the plans, i see no use in keeping him. its going to be rough for everyone because not even might like the new direction.

Eric Ebron - 31rec -375yds - 12.1avg 48 lng TD's 3
Blake Jarwin - 31rec - 365yds - 11.8avg 42 lng TD' 3
It seems the only question mark is why did Jason Garrett let Witten come between getting Jarwin more targets
Jarwin has the potential to be a big weapon (750+ yards and 6+ TDs receiver). Too bad Garrett played personal favorites while it hurt the team once again.

I am signing Jarwin and drafting a kid named Wilcox in later rounds. He set all TE records I think and is supposed to be a later round pick.

Garrett was/is an incompetent coach.

If Jarwin was used properly this board would love him.

See why Garrett was referred to as the career killer?

Then he has a great season and goes to Cabo to hold out, then fans will hate him. Though they do that with just about every player. Even the ones that don't hold out.

Jarwin will be interesting to watch, as long as Witten is not here to hold him back, again. Though he should have learned some from Witten before his 1 year hiatus. However did Witten learn anything from that year off to help the younger TE's. If he wants to be a coach, I sure hope so.

So did Jarwin gain from this or was he and Schultz held back. I am not going to say one way or the other, as none of us really know. But some think they know. :muttley:
I know I have no idea.

Will be interesting to see how they do under a much better coaching staff.

My understanding is that MM likes to use his TE. This will be a good thing for Jarwin. I think with Witten there he and Schultz missed a lot of quality game reps. Jarwin performed well in his limited snaps.

Lol. The writer MAURICIO RODRIGUEZ of that column doesn't even look 20 years old. There is no question mark on Jarwin. Tired of seeing these good TE's getting put on the back burner because of Witten. Jarwin has nice run routes, good speed and his blocking picked up really good the more he was in the line up!

Dallas doesn't need a TE. Jarwin is their #1. If they get rid of him it would be a huge mistake!
