I’d venture to say Dak wants a shorter contract. I think a lot of QBs will end up doing it soon.
These guys recognize the CAP goes up every year. If he could sign a fat 3 year deal now, then another one for even more when he’s 30, why wouldn’t he pursue that instead of a long term deal that limits his potential income?

Some of you believe everything you read. What player is going to turn down $105 million guaranteed? lol That would be the most guaranteed money ever paid to an NFL player.

It’s lower than both Goff and Wentz, who Dak is better than. The cap is also about to explode over the next few years and the players/agents know it too. It’s nowhere near enough.

While I think that is a good offer for his ability, at this point there is no reason not to wait and see what Bridgewater and Tannehill and the others get first. Not to mention the new CBA agreement.

That information will make it easier for both sides to decide on a contract.
Well..

Bridgewater and Tannehill are waiting for Dak to sign first.

My question........which camp you think leaked this if it's true? Dak camp trying to say Stephen has increased his offer and $40M rumor was always BS or Stephen's camp, saying we're offering a fair deal? Either way, IF this is in any way true, either we've been fed a lot BS or they are miles apart. The bottom line, looks like the franchise tag is unavoidable. I've said IF it can down to the tag, this could get ugly real fast.

Goff went to a Super Bowl

Wentz took out Dallas for the division title last season in spite of having WR's from off the street almost half the season

.....and Dak finished 8-8 with added stats so do not tell me how Dak is better.

NO ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Goff and wentz are getting $34m a year and made almost $15m more just from their initial 1st round contracts compared to what dak has been paid. Dak's numbers are better than Wentz's and Goff's. Why should he take less money? It's not Dak's fault this team had terrible contracts in Romo and Dez that they had to eat so they couldn't sign any big free agents to make the team better on his rookie cheap labor deal.

It’s a silly position. If he’s “gotta” make more than them, then he “should” makes less than Russ. It’s a lot of money, and a decent offer, but I get why he’s not accept it. Goff and Wentz shouldn’t be the reason though

Considering the tag pays what this offers aav is, and is fully guaranteed, can’t see why he wouldn’t just take the tag instead

anything less than wentz and goff is trash and shouldn't even be on the table. He gave this dumb front office 4 years at $3M. Not his fault a bad romo and dez contract crippled this team from signing real talent.

He was a 4th round draft pick so spare me the "he played for a mere $3M over 4 years BS". That is the CBA and he played out his contract. Now if he thinks $33M/AAV with $105M guaranteed is too low then go shop himself elsewhere.

Russel Wilson got 107 mil guaranteed....Dak would be getting 105 mil guaranteed. I cant imagine he would turn this down if its true.

It will be the same as russ or maybe a little more. Since Wentz and Goff are gettin 34 and russ is getting 35
