Like Goff then right?

What are you talking about? Goff had a career year in 2018 leading the Rams to the Super Bowl. He passed for over 4600 yards with 32 TDs and had a passer rating of 101.1. Plus his defense ranked 19th. How is that like Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson?

Dak plays offense genius and when facing decent teams Dak sucked. He couldn't do anything to lead the team to victory in spite of having a fully healthy, talented offense.

10 points scored against the Saints (lost by 2 points)
9 points scored against the Patriots (lost by 4 points)
15 points scored against the Bills (lost by 11 points)
9 points scored against the Eagles (lost by 8 points)

ALL LOSSES so how is that the defenses fault?????? If Dak is so due as you say then he couldn't figure a way to lead the team to any victory in those games???? That is 4 losses by a combined point difference of 25 points, or 6 points a game average. Had he been such the 'due' QB that you say he is worth he would have led Dallas to victories in those games.

So 4 losses out of 16.......they should've won 12 games then. Yet....they only won 8.....I wonder what happened those other games?

Damn I hate explaining basic things to you but:

Jared Goff #1 pick in the draft hence a big contract

Carson Wentz #2 pick in the draft hence a big contract

Dak Prescott #135 pick in the draft hence a small contract

Those are basic CBA economics and forgive me but Goff led the Rams to the Super Bowl, Wentz was the catalyst to position the Eagles for their 2017 Super Bowl victory and beat Dallas (and Dak) late last season to get into the playoffs.

Other than padded stats last season, what has Dak done for Dallas?????
Dak isn’t in the same dimension as Wentz or Goff, and certainly not Wilson. Only the demented loonies in here think that. The problem is, it’s just a different market now. The real problem is the moronic Jones clan wanting Dak at any price, instead of having a replacement ready. Now they’re about to be stuck with a disaster of their own making, when Dak’s contract is a laughingstock in a couple of years.

I guess I just have a different mentality. I would love being rich as much as the next guy. But if you have the opportunity to be rich AND be a champion by taking a couple million less why not take it? The money you get in endorsements as a SB winning QB more than makes up for the difference.

While I think that is a good offer for his ability, at this point there is no reason not to wait and see what Bridgewater and Tannehill and the others get first. Not to mention the new CBA agreement.

That information will make it easier for both sides to decide on a contract.
and maybe tannehill and bridgewater are waiting to see what Dak gets. This waiting to see what others get is just ****.

Why any fan of a team would want any player on the team to get top dollar is beyond me

it defies logic but then logic is not everyone’s cup of tea
I'm sure you aren't worth much, but we men want what we deserve. I don't settle, and I don't think any person should. I don't care if they play for my team or drive a school bus!! I'll give a dollar to cut my 10 acre yard since you come so cheap.

Don't post me overall stats. Go and show me what Goff did in the month of December until NOW. Better yet...just show what he did throughout that Super Bowl run......****....i'll do your job for you here......

@DET won 30-16 passing for 207 yards 51% completion 1 Touchdown and 1 INT and 1 fumble sacked twice.
@Chicago lost 6-15 with a 44% completion rate 0 touchdowns and 4 INTERCEPTIONS with a QB rating of 19 with a fumble.
Philly lost 23-30 passed for 339 yards with 0 touchdowns and 1 interception with 2 fumbles
@ARI beat the crappy Cardinals 31-9 passing for 216 yards 1 touchdown and a fumble
Killed the 49ers 48-32 passing with a 57% completion rate 4 touchdowns and 0 picks and a fumble

You call this carrying his team to the Super Bowl? LEt's go to the actual playoffs......

Beat Dallas even though all of us know CJ Anderson and Todd Gurley actually beat us. Threw for 186 yards a completion percentage of 53 with a fumble. That's how you carry a team.
Next week they were given a win against the Saints 26-23. Once again he fumbled YET AGAIN threw a touchdown with a interception.

Then there's the Super Bowl where he lost 3-13 throwing zero touchdowns 1 interception. Sacked 4 times but didn't fumble FINALLY.

So tell me again how Goff led his team to the Rams? You could argue he actually was hurting their chances are a Super Bowl with how he played from December on.

Cowboys have all the leverage here if Dak wants all the guaranteed money he can get, now. If he plays under the tag and gets hurt seriously or stinks, he will never see the $105 million. He's probably got insurance in case of injury, but I doubt he's paying premium for $100 Million of injury coverage. This is why players, and agents, hate the tag. It only guarantees payment for a year.

Sure, he can wait and get a bigger pay day down the road, if he continues to play at a high level, but that isn't guaranteed right now. The only guaranteed way to make $100M is for him to sign a deal.

maybe he should “bet on himself “ again and sign the franchise tag

then your “respect “ for him will know no bounds

:muttley:
Honestly its probably in his best interest to sign the tag twice and then get big money. He'd make even more money off of these idiots. He'd have no security though.

You insinuated Goff got carried to the Super Bowl like Dilfer and Brad Johnson which is completely untrue. You’re totally lost if you believe that. Goff had a very productive career season in 2018 which earned him a huge contract extension and he didn’t have near the defense that Dilfer and Johnson had. Not about to waste anymore time with this. lol

People living in their mothers basements don’t get to say they have a 10 acre yard

So what do you call what happened from December until now? He has been exposed and has been garbage. He most definitely got carried.

He may have no had the defense those guys have had but he had a great head coach in Sean McVey and had the best defensive player in the league. Also had one of the best DC's in Wade Phillips.

Jared Goff did not lead anyone anywhere. You guys talk about Dak's team being stacked? I can only imagine what you guys think having Sean McVey as head coach, Wade Phillips as DC and Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp is....and Todd Gurley.

The offer is low. If I were Dak I’d pass and let them use the tag instead.

I'm not interested in rumors. The rumor mill is far too busy this time of year.
