Did you watch Goff play in the playoffs?

Dak has outperformed Goff in the playoffs.

Goff’s team has outperformed Dak’s in the playoffs.

There is a difference.

I’m not saying Dak didn’t have a better game than Goff in the playoffs but the Rams did advance. Goff had a solid game against New Orleans in the NFC title game the following week. I’m not saying Dak isn’t better than Goff but the fact is he has a better playoff record and has been to a Super Bowl.

Dak already denied the 33. 3 times. It has been written long ago and consecrated by the rooster.

Jerry's attorneys stood in the cold and said to Dak: "You were one of the disciples of the 33, were you not?" And Dak replied, "I am not." And they stood by the fire and warmed themselves.

But they asked again.

"You are one of the disciples of the 33. We have heard this."

"I am not!!!!" Dak replied.

And the witness said: "Did I not see you with your man servant discussing the 33?"

Dak denied again

And immediately a rooster crowed.

Dak has outperformed Goff in the playoffs.

Goff has a 2-2 playoff record including a SB appearance and Dak has a 1-2 playoff record having not gotten past the divisional round. That’s all that matters.

NO ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Goff and wentz are getting $34m a year and made almost $15m more just from their initial 1st round contracts compared to what dak has been paid. Dak's numbers are better than Wentz's and Goff's. Why should he take less money? It's not Dak's fault this team had terrible contracts in Romo and Dez that they had to eat so they couldn't sign any big free agents to make the team better on his rookie cheap labor deal.

did you look to see how much of Geoff and Wentz dollars are fluff or guarantee? that's what makes the difference

So when we were "crawling within 8 points" where was Goff? Did he get hurt or something?

Go find a Rams board and hate on Goff. You seem to be in a real cranky mood today.

Hahahhah you fell into a trap didn't you? And that doesn't even make sense......i'm a "hater" but you want me to go to the Rams board? Shouldn't you be going there since you are defending him lol?

Wentz got an average of $32 million and Goff got $33.5 million. But just because the Rams were stupid enough to pay Goff $33.5 million doesn't mean the cowboys should pay Dak more. If you were buying a new car and some guy went to the same deal and paid the list price for the same car, would you pay list or try to bargain him down a little? If anything, the Goff contract is a reason the Cowboys should not pay Dak more than $33 million. The only issue Dak might have with his contract offer is the guaranteed money. Goff got $110 million and Wentz $107 million.

In my opinion the Cowboys offer is in the right ball park. They could go up a million and add a few million to the guaranteed money and it would be more than fair to Dak. But paying him the reported $40 million he asked for would be more absurd than what the Ram paid Goff.
wentz is 34 is he doesnt get injured

You’re not making any sense. I’m just telling it like it is, he has a better playoff record than Dak and his been to a Super Bowl. That earned him a big extension.

That’s not Goff outperforming Dak. That’s Goff’s team outperforming Dak’s team. That’s what you don’t seem to grasp.

Just reading that, from a guy we cannot quote and a newspaper we cannot post here....(this comment is from MSN).....

"The average of $33 million isn’t any different than what’s previously been reported. However, the $105 million in guarantees is a new wrinkle. Chances are, that figure still won’t be enough to get Prescott to sign a long-term deal, however, given his comments about setting a new market last year.

At this rate, it seems inevitable that the Cowboys will end up using the exclusive franchise tag to secure Prescott (worth roughly $33 million, ironically), which would also give them more time to hammer out a long-term contract."

Interesting. Franchise tag and watch him cry.

You don’t seem to grasp that Goff is the QB and QBs are judged on their W/L record especially in the playoffs. Goff has a better head to head record against Dak and has a better playoff record. The game is about winning not individual QB stats. Danny White outplayed Joe Montana statistically in the 81 title game but no one cares because the game is about winning!

They offered 33 for 6 years with 90 guaranteed before. We don't know what the length is from this new report. I have been saying for weeks now that 34 for 5 years with 115 guaranteed and this thing would be done.

And using the tag only hurts the salary cap because it is 33 right off the top. A structured deal would have a cap hit of 23-24 million (Based on Wilson's deal).

I think he's just trolling at htis point. I'm not gonna keep arguing with him about Jared Goff. Everyone keeps telling him the same thing but he's ignoring it.

Push that market right into franchise tag!

"Prescott acknowledged that the record-breaking contract extension signed by Jared Goff is good for him. He also made it clear that he and his team are focused on continuing to push the market.

"“It’s pushing the market,” Prescott said. “I think that’s what everybody’s trying to do. And we’d be disservicing anybody else — any other players in the league — if we weren’t.”

"The interesting dynamic here is that the Cowboys have publicly stated that they aren’t interested in setting new markets on any contracts. However, we know the ‘Boys can be pushed out of their stance, because Ezekiel Elliott set a new market in his new deal last week."

According to the link provided, the franchise tag is worth < $27M in 2020 for QB.

https://overthecap.com/franchise-transition-and-rfa-tenders/

Different type tag Joe. That would be the non-exclusive, average of the top ten. The exclusive is the average of the top five.

That's it makes more sense to go non-exclusive and see what the market is. With all the QBs on the market, it doesn't make sense to overbid or bid against yourself.
