Dak's agent isn't stupid. He knows that franchise players like Tyron Smith, Jaylon, Zeke, Martin, D-law, La'el, Frederick are all locked up to big money deals and are in the 2-3 year windows to perform now.

****** situation because you don't want to overpay Dak but at the same time you let him walk and you'll probably end up wasting the remaining primes of those players listed above
I think their careers are wasted already. Right now it's about not making a big mistake that will set this team back another 4-5 years.

No championship in 25 years so if they sign him, another 3 years of this drought wont be much of a big deal. In fact we may have a pretty high draft position by the time the Albatross of a contract expires. Just have to wait it out.

I’m not so sure Prescott wants to be a cowboy for his entire career. It’s almost like he wants to be a free agent that’s the market. I mean would not want to be the quarterback of America’s team. But with all the hate I get it I think the kid is a winner I hope it all works out well

Prescott’s not the reason weWon’t win another championship. Making no mistake about that my cowboy brother. I’m not sure he even wants to be a cowboy. The alternatives aren’t much better so

To me its more about the money we wont have available because of his demands. The ability to re-sign existing players as well as obtaining needed defensive players may be hampered. Most of us agree that he can and has been a serviceable QB.....we just disagree as to the cap allotment and his worth.

Nothing personal toward Dakota; hes still the Apple in my eye

26yrs old.
41 career wins.
stop hating your QB.
Dak is CLEARLY better than dalton or mariota.
CLEAR.
EYE.
VIEW.

OH i don't know about that Mariota went 8-8 and 9-7 with much more medicore teams and offenses than Dak had and Dalton went either 10-6 or 11-5 for 5 straight seasons with the Bengals and made the playoffs every one of those seasons, you really think either would have done worse with our team? I think maybe you are the one with your eyes closed

What a terrible article. Really lazy “Journalism”

Here is the tldr version of the article
  1. We shouldn’t sign Dak
  2. If we had Rodgers, Brady or Wilson the last four years we would have one a super bowl
  3. No mention of what the Boys should do after letting Dak walk. Is the implication we should start Cooper Rush?
3. And that’s the real issue.
What’s our Plan B if we let Dak walk?

Lol. You've turned to the dark side.
No, I've just come to my senses. Dak is my preference at QB but I don't want him over the detriment of the team's ability to sign other badly needed talents. Teddy Bridgewater's undefeated 5 games run as a starter with the Saints in 2019 shows he's ready to be a franchise QB. I don't like the criticism here about Dak's ability as a player but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I think you’d be shocked at what some of these starting caliber FA QBs could do behind the Oline that we have, the WRs we have, and the RB that we have. Dak is good but he’d be Andy dalton or worse if he played for the Bengals. Don’t get it twisted.
What would Dak look like on Cincinnati or Miami for example?

We’ve seen what he looks like without a piece of the OL , elite RB and or WR.

Has our supporting cast on offense elevated Dak or has he elevated this offense ?

Tagging Dakota, "Doesn't let him walk". If they fail to draft another Qb or sign one than they have this dilemma the following season
They should not tag Dak if he isn't invested long term to this team's goals. Apparently being overpaid is more important to him.

It doesn’t appear Jerry has a worse case scenario plan. He is All In on Dak. And why we will tag him if we can’t get him signed. There really isn’t a Plan B.

Tagging him is a stop gap or filler for the season while they obtain leverage by drafting and or signing the heir apparent. Got to still have someone at the Qb position while they transition and apparently there is no confidence in Cooper Rush to drive the bus in the interim. Personally I'd go and cut ties with Dakota sooner rather than later as his Demands aren't going away. Let someone else pay " Market Value"

You don't know that. Dak is going to command a minimum of $40M in 2021 if he plays on the tag in 2020. Jerry should know that's just not feasible. It's better to cut bait now.

Sorry but you're so wrong, especially about Teddy Bridgewater.
