Steal him?

He’s 34 and they had to re-sign him for almost 15
Million a year lmao

33-year-old Campbell has played all 16 games for five straight seasons, recording 31.5 sacks over the past three years. Number 3 out of 185 Defensive ends.

It's a two year rental to go win them a Super Bowl.

14.5 of which came three seasons ago.

he had 6.5 sacks last year.

thats 15 million for what randy gregory gave us in half a weed smoke filled season.

And they still have to get past KC.

While we are arguing about Dak the Ravens are swooping in and stealing this stud DT for a 5th round pick.
Jerry get yourself head in the game. The off-season is when teams are built. Stop screwing around and look everywhere to improve this team.

Jerry's an idiot, except for having one of the best DE's in DLaw and picking Robert Quinn up for a 6th, we don't have any starters at all. What a bunch of clowns.

They didn't re-sign him for 15mil. They traded for him withhout reworking his deal right away. That 15mil is all base, non guaranteed, from the contract he signed with the Jags years ago.
Ravens are working on a 2 year, 25 mil deal, with 20 mil gtd. Don't think his cap hit for 2020 will be 15mil for much longer.

Didnt jerry make a similar move last year with bringing in Quinn? Let's not act like he is asleep at the wheel here.

You just franchised your QB, still have your top WR and CB to either sign or replace, not to mention a handful of other positions to address. Dishing out $15MM and giving up a draft pick might not be the best move right now.

Our "GM" don't work that way.......that would be a pro-active approach.

This is how you win championships.

5th round pick for MARCUS PETERS
5th round they received for a bum kicker turned it into Calaias Campbell.

Almost as good as getting quin and bennett for 6th rounders. But we still couldnt make the playoffs.

Thank you!!!! Our guys take vacation during Free Agency. There is a reason why the Ravens are in the mix every year. Success is not accidental.

Not exactly. Unless you think contracts cap hits are based off an average and not a fluctuating cap hit.
For all we know, his cap hit this year is low, and next year is cuttable year if the signing bonus was low. Still gets 20mil, but the Ravens get a low cap hit this year and the rest goes poof the next year with a small dead cap hit

You don't get it cause you said they re-signed him to 15 mil but actually that was part of the original deal he signed with the Jags that the Ravens acquired.
And, as we speak, they are reworking his deal.

Not to mention some of that 25 or 27 mil total may have incentives in order to reach the max value of that deal. Probowl, All-pro, stats or playoff success.

The Cowboys and Amari Cooper continue to negotiate on a long-term deal, but now that the negotiation window is open, the receiver is free to speak with other teams. If the Cowboys can’t re-sign Cooper, then they gave up a 2019 first rounder for 25 regular-season games. It is difficult to gauge where things stand currently, but there is some hope they can work out a deal.

They screwed themselves royally. Not only do they have to pay Cooper, they now have to outbid other teams
