It could very well be ticketed to spend when free agency actually opens for real, after this 'funny money' period where it's crazily thrown around.

You might potentially get two or three reasonably priced vets for the money currently be thrown at guys like Quinn.

I can blame this FO and do because they're incompetent at player evaluations and inept in FA and they're only good in the draft in the 1st round....but not always.

The Cowboys still have 20 spots to fill on a 53 man roster. $40 million isn't a crazy amount. They can maybe get one more impact player.

It's ironic that anyone who regularly throws the tantrums that he does would ever bring up anyone else's "maturity level", while then talking about peeing pants and wet sheets. It's embarrassing the way some fans are compelled to lose their minds if anyone should dare criticize 'their Cowboys'.

I think that if the Cowboys had pressed earlier, and at the time offered deals that would then have looked to outsiders like you and me as 'overpaying', they could have closed the deal then. Plenty of teams did just that, nobody's going to tell me the Cowboys couldn't or that only these players and agents were 'smart enough' to know where the market was going.

No, I'll first believe that a known cheapskate son, gifted the job by his Daddy, mishandled things and thought he could strong-arm both into taking his cheap deals. I've read enough and heard enough to support that feeling as well. Other people are free of course to believe whatever they want or feel the need to as well.

I feel both sides and unfortunate circumstances had everything to do with the fiasco that ensued with the contract negotiations this year. Yes, there were the delays, largely due to both sides waiting for the owners and the NFLPA to come to terms. Unfortunately, that took what seemed like forever.

Also, both the Dallas FO and Dak, along with his agent, seemingly weren't acting in good faith, probably allowing their tempers and egos to prevail. They can still arrive at a mutual agreement, I believe, if they settle down and find a way to compromise more willingly. The stubborn and prolonged waiting game that both sides foolishly played did nobody any favors, either.
