Sounds like a meaningless special teams guy.

There will be a lot of those signed to fill up the 90 man training camp roster. This guy will just be hoping to make the team.

I'm not either. But I'm not sure he isn't either. Not really any info to judge Westry on, and I can't claim to have paid any attention to Canady during a Ravens game. But that's part of what gets sorted out in training camp. They have a 90 man roster to start with.

His contract last year was 720K so its probably a similar amount. This is a guy who will compete for a spot in camp and will cost nothing if they cut him. No idea why it happened this quickly, but its nothing to complain about.

For what it’s worth, dude was the 20th ranked CB outta 113. That’s pretty freakin good. As a 4th corner and special teamer, it’s a good signing. But with Canady it looks like there some potential for more there. 20th ranked CB is 6 places worse than 14th ranked Byron.

You knew they couldn't stay out of the crap bargain bin. This guy is a dime a dozen JAG and we signed him today?

If he's a depth signing or even a Brown replacement, fine. If he's the FA CB acquisition and we just then think we can fix CB in the draft, that's pretty silly.

This smells like Nolan Carroll all over again and that was a failure. Granted, we stupidly signed Carroll to a two year deal and this guy is only a one year deal.
