Does this do anything for anyone? A real Position of need but he’s probably not a starter on either side unless we are really hurting

Would probably cost 3 for 15? Just guessing

A league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on March 17 that Dennard and the team agreed on a three-year, $13.5 million deal that included $6 million guaranteed. Dennard was expected to compete for a starting spot at outside corner despite playing mainly in the slot with the Cincinnati Bengals.

No reason to keep adding bodies to a position that needs talent. They can't keep 8 CBs so the only CB needed at this point is a #1 type guy or one that could become that in a year or so. Only place that is coming from is the draft because no way they are buying one in free agency or trading for one.

This.

We need a 1 not depth guy

Although Dennard could probably help, I agree with the consensus... Cowboys need to draft a top guy at CB and have him ball out.

Still, they (JAX) signed Dennard to be a projected starter. He served mostly as a nickel cornerback during his six years in Cincinnati, but was expected to play outside in Jacksonville. The Jaguars need to replace cornerback A.J. Bouye, who was traded to Denver earlier this month for a fourth-round draft pick.
Wouldn't hurt to bring him in. You never know who could get hurt. He could upgrade the depth also.

Yes, its like fans forget there is a 53 man roster limit,,, unless that was expanded in the recent CBA,, haven't heard, but Im going with the 53.
There is a point of restraint that every GM in the league understands that regardless of available cap, there is an ending point.

For depth and TC competition for the right price, I would be ok with this. However still draft a top CB. And if the contract is such he can be released without much of a cap hit, probably the signing bonus if not too much. Kind of like they did with Iloka last year.

I Think we need a veteran.......who's our nickel corner now? Is that Lewis or no? If its not Lewis then he wouldn't be a terrible get.

Brown & Lewis have experience in the slot and even Awuzie has that ability. I would guess that Lewis is in the slot with Brown and Awuzie on the outside. But with a new staff it's just a guess.

Damn I forgot about Brown. I was just thinking we had Lewis and Chido....okay than its clear then. Brown or Lewis will be the slot corners. I take my post back then. That next corner we get should be a rookie or two.

The more I think about it, I have very little doubt they intend to pick the best corner on the board at 17 and tell the world he was BPA.

Gonna have a tough time selling that if Jeudy or Lamb is still there.

But it appears as though they have backed themselves into a spot where they MUST draft a corner early.
