Everybody is linking Brown to the Panthers. Hmmm..... His combine was below average and he is one tech. I think Carolina will pick one of those tackles.

I am so fed up of seeing that name mocked to us.

Is there nobody out there willing to do something different

Thanks, tbh I'm starting to be more on the mckinney bandwagon. For years we have neglected safety, posters have whined about that neglect and now we gave a chance to grab a very good one who can do multiple things back there.

it could easily fall that way...and i'd have no problem taking Chaisson.
based on the board...easy pick.

Link him wherever. Unless you want to part with next years 1 plus this years 3, or Zack Martin, or some combo thereof, he won't be a Cowboy so it doesnt matter.

Way too many tanking teams on last years schedule.

Chaisson is boom or bust.

Henderson wont tackle.

We are right at the beginning of no man's land if there are no surprises.

Keys to Dallas 1st pick....Thomas, Herbert, Love, and a surprise or two. Then one of the guys we want falls.

If not I'd very much fall to McKinney, Baun or Murray and be a bit safer.

Lower ceiling lower floor. They need a starter here.

If Denver is looking WR, they would most likely be a willing trade partner as Atlanta won’t be picking a WR. Denver still gets their WR and an extra pick. Atlanta has some of the same needs that we do, so I hope the Cowboys are having preliminary discussions with Denver in case somebody falls and we think Atlanta could draft.

I think Jacksonville or the Raiders would draft Love, I don’t know if you can really pass on that kid. I’m really not interested in Chaisson, I’d be way more excited for Henderson, Kinlaw, Ruggs III, or Lamb. The WR’s would make this offense an absolute nightmare to defend against (and they would open up space for Zeke to be Zeke). I think our front 7 on defense is nasty and Awuzie, Brown, Lewis, Haha, Woods are formidable on the back end - but if Delpit starts falling in the 2nd round or Winfield Jr is there in the 2nd, that would be a dream!

I am thinking you might be right on this. They guys we want may not be available. We shouldn’t “force this pick”. We shouldn’t reach.

Better to trade back if someone we want is not there at #17 move back and take someone at a better spot.

I don’t think Chaisson should be the pick. He’s a reach there. It would be better to move back and take Murray or Gallimore.

More picks is better in general, especially this draft. A well prepared team may end up with a really good draft because of the current lockdown on face to face contact.

There are normally 17-20 players on Dallas' board with true 1st round value.
So we're right in that range.
If one of those doesn't fall to us, and also overlap with being a player we want, then a trade down is the smart move.

I've heard people on this board rave over Kinlaw. Not that I disagree that he's a good prospect, but since when did this guy become a can't miss prospect? I haven't read a single negative thing about him here

If I see Kinlaw on the board at 14-15 I have to go get him.

If it costs a 3rd then so be it.
I'd see if next year's 2nd and 5th with this year's 5th would do it. We may have a couple of 3rd rd comp picks next year so I'd try using up some 2021 picks.
