He's already working out with Dak too.

Looking at our depth chart, he's already our 3rd best WR:

Cedrick Wilson
Devin Smith
Ventell Bryant
Noah Brown
Tevin Jones
Jon'Vea Johnson
Lance Lenoir

It's happening Zoners. And I could envision him being a redzone monster vs a 3rd CB, LB, or S.

Instead of getting in the redzone, offense stalls, then settling for a FG... Nope. Throw up the X! :flagwave:

Glad to see he and Dak are in compliance with the stay at home order.........it figures

Lets look at some facts. Bryant hasn't played a single snap in two seasons. Bryant was never considered a fast receiver and has had an achilles injury and is 31 years old now and has to be even slower now. Bryant was never considered to be a good route runner. Bryant in his second to last season he played was one drop away from leading the league in drops. Bryant's last season he played he DID lead the league in drops. Now Bryant has been able to sign with any team at any time since the start of last season yet no team as even brought him in for a tryout. No team has shown any interest in Bryant. Bryant put together a choreographed video of him running some routes as a means to beg for a chance and still no takers.

You may think he's the Cowboys 3rd best receivers but the fact that professional teams haven't even contacted him in two seasons should tell you that your evaluation using a Bob Ueker saying in the movie Major League,is just bit outside.

It’s Dez hope to return but seems to me McCarthy is waiting for the draft to see if someone falls to them. If guys they want don’t end up in Dallas I think they could circle back around to sign dez. We’re signing guys out of the nfl for years anyway might as well throw Dez back in there too

Yeah, given how deep this WR draft is I would be absolutely livid if we passed on one of them for Dez instead.
They wouldn't pass drafting a receiver because Dez was back on the team. Right now only 2 receivers on the team that are dependable. Plenty of room to sign Dez and draft 2 receivers if they want.

I guess it would be more like if Witten came back, but didn't HAVE TO start.
I know, I know...
Witten was a technician and smart, which is what gave him his advantages, but he HAD to start. And HAD to take all the snaps.
Dez might have more humility on that front.
No guarantees, but I could see it.

Maybe not, but put him on a bare bones deal with an easy out and see how he connects with Mike McCarthy/Kellen's offense.

The difference is the other players were playing good when the last played and Bryant was on a 4 year slide down when he last played.

I said this to @KingintheNorth the other day. Dallas has Dez in their back pocket. They know they're most likely going to sign him. Barring somebody falling to them in the draft that they dont expect to be there (ie lamb or Jeudy) which definitely is possible..they will just sign Dez and use their draft picks on other needs
Did you say Ruggs or Jeudy?

Goodness! :omg:

That's not true. Ravens, Browns and some other NFC east teams wanted him and the Saints actually did sign him. So your comment about no team in 2 years have contacted him is false. Besides, unless you are monitoring his phone calls how do you know if teams have called him or not?
