I believe the confidence that’s coming from Dak’s side about holding strong to their desired number could mean that he is getting real interest from other NFL teams if he leaves Dallas. One team that could be potential landing spot is Atlanta Falcons that is loaded with talent but Ryan always seems to choke and come up short in big moments.

If the Faclons cut Matt Ryan before the 2021 season they would have $49,937,500 in dead money from his contract... and still $26,525,000 if they cut him before 2022.

Doubt it. I know tampering is a joke, but realistically, there is no alternate reality where Dak hits the FA market in 2020 or 2021. And I don't think any NFL team would plan for a QB two years from now, when Jerry has literally never let a high profile player in their prime leave.

If they make him a June 1st cut in 2021, it's doable. Problem is, that kills your flexibility

Then you would be paying a QB about $65 million a year for two years. Assuming Dak gets about $40 plus Ryan's dead money. Wouldn't really call that realistically doable if you want to field a team. But I guess depending upon the structure of Dak's contract. That said if he still wants a shorter contract, as has been reported, that would make it more difficult.

They can trade Ryan and off load part of his contract?

Dak will be in demand if he ever hits free agency.

Cowboys are probably saying: ok you want to go play in the midwest for some ****** team for $40 million vs America's team and all the endorsements for $35 million. We'll call your bluff.

Sure hope he likes waffle houses, he goes there and he'll wind up looking like a blimp.

This is a smokescreen.

An effort to create a market where none exists.

What team in their right mind would sign a $40 mil/yr QB without a signed contract they could redo for themselves?

None.

Dak has backed himself into this corner.

Let him play for the Exclusive Tag or just let him go and recind the offer.

Let him go as a FA. Do these fans want a guy like Dak who is not worried about his team or team mates? Just his money?

I hope the answer is No and No.

why wait, go now. But why would Atlanta want to trade out a QB that chokes and comes up short in Big Moments for a QB that never is good enough to have a big moment in the first place?
You mean the quarterback that has more fourth-quarter wins than any other quarterback. The quarterback that has more prime time wins than any other quarterback. Do you even know anything about your quarterback . Just look at the guy that said you nailed it LMAO
