Quite a few of us were on DC.com when they warned us it would shut down but they didn't stipulate that day. There were a lot of pissed off posters but they welcomed us over here and got us into gen pop as quickly as they could. Took time to get acclimated but it worked.
However, the secret to the success of this site isn't just the technical knowledge of the owner and the breadth and depth of the subject matter, like tires in our cages, but the grouping of a really good core of posters. Something for every one, Pollyannas, Wrist Slitters, Angry Young Men, Goofballs and some fans of the team too.
