Sad part is he is typically right. With Garrett at the helm the Cowboys were an accident waiting to happen.

How many win or go home games did we lose under Garrett? With the last one being the 2nd Philly game I think we were something like 2-9 under the horrid Garrett. In the biggest games of his career the teams were unprepared mentally, they game plan was faulty and conservative, and the in game management was horrendous.
But now he will be screwing up the Giants offense for years.

He will take the ball out of the hands of Saquon Barkley in critical situations. I love it.

I'm watching Circus On Ice!
You mean you are watching the 1967 NFL Championship called the Ice Bowl?

Stop using code Corso. I lost my secret decoder ring playing marbles last week.

Now I am down to my Dunken YoYo and Wammo Spin Top for self entertainment. And neither has a plugin charger.

I am what you call jealous.

:omg:

It’s really difficult for me to measure how much was on the coaching versus the talent , opposing talent and coaching.

We performed well and put up big numbers on the most part against lesser record teams but struggled against better record teams.

My hunch is we have been a talent dependent team.

If Stephen A spin aligns with yours then you might think he’s right. But I’ve seen too many times when he’s elated over Cowboys losses and troubles which arise taking too much joy in our pain touting the fans. That’s troll like behavior.

A player cannot be traded unless they are under contract. Just saying that in order to trade Dak, he would either have to agree to the trade and sign a contract to facilitate the trade OR the Cowboys sign Dak while not telling him that they will trade him. Both of these are unlikely.

I can’t imagine a scenario where Dak is traded unless we know for a fact he’s unsignable.

Dak has more value to Jerry than just his production on the field.

He will take the ball out of the hands of Saquon Barkley in critical situations. I love it.

Or just run him up the middle on first down 80% of the time. No play action. Receivers will all run 8 yard routes and turn around.

With the offense driving for the game winning score and the defense on their heels and tired, he will call a timeout. LOL

If the Giants are running all over another team, he will stop running. If they are up by 23 or more by halftime he will have the QB dropping back in shotgun and go pass happy.

Pretty easy to see all the mistake Garrett made time after time.

I saw a lot of mistakes made on the field in our losses and good plays made on the other side of ball. I guess it depends on how you analyze and expectations going in

In the end coaching is responsible for wins and losses. I understand ultimately the accountability factor but it’s just not how I view games for 60 minutes on the most part.

Yea, there’s some coaching decisions made on calling plays and certain situations but I view overall players talent and execution. On the most part except for the Jets upset I saw us being beat by better teams not just better coaching.

I rarely walk away blaming the coaching or giving credit to coaching for winning rather instead thinking one team just had more talent or performed better than the other.

I view professional sports more as a talent driven league. Great coaching assembles or influences acquiring the most talent then front office manages retaining the most critical pieces for the most part. If you mismanage or over evaluate any of that it has great effects.

I'd actually rather trade with Oakland. Trade Dak for Carr and the Raiders first 1st Rd pick.

Amari Cooper would hate this trade. He never consistently got in sync with Carr yet he and Dak developed a rhythm right away.

Sucks for him. Cooper is signed so that's the deal. Carr could be a better then average Vet who could win games behind our OL and also bridge the gap till a young QB could be developed. His contract is cap Friendly and we have an impact pick that can immediately help us. To me, something like that would be ideal if you gotta move Dak.

I’m in the frame of mind we’re not having a season so this wouldn’t be applicable.

And of course we can’t trade Dak if he’s not under contract anyway so it’s basically a mute discussion at this point.

And if we think someone like Miami or Oakland as mentioned is giving us their 1st for Dak then I think we’ve over valued Daks value.

Jerry is probably still dug in on Dak. That’s my hunch. We might have until 2023 , assuming we don’t play this and another Tag the following year, before we have to commit long term.

Well, if Dak isn't worth a 1st in a trade, then he definitely ain't worth the money he's asking for.

I’d agree with that. But then he is a pretty good QB. Gotta have one. And the fans in the most part became attached with sensational rookie season. He sells a ton of jerseys so Jerry loves him. Always have to factor in the entertainment value.

Oh, there is absolutely no arguing that Smith loves to hate the Cowboys.

Dak isn't quite what he'd like the to think he is, but then, neither are the Cowboys, in the dreamy minds of their FO. At least. It's a tie in that respect. :omg:

At this point in time, both need one another. Yet, they both seem to be in denial of that sad but undeniable truth. That is, thanks largely to Dak and his valiant advisor, Mr. France and the significantly demented perspectives of the Dallas FO, as well.

At some point in their hardly realistic perspectives, they must come to their senses and agree to face the truth. For now, at least, they had best see fit to compromise and join forces to face their futures with more realistic visions in mind. They need one another, whether they see fit to face it, or not.

Again, you CANNOT trade a player that is not signed.

You cannot "tag and trade" because the player would have to SIGN the tag first.
