I mean, I wanted defense. But I wanted an impact guy like Okudah, Henderson or Kinlaw. Brown was a pipe dream.

Lamb is a better player than any D player the Cowboys could've taken a shot at.

Garrett would've reached or traded back.

Good points but Jones is soooooo not worth top cb $$. You had no idea that such a gem would fall.

Again, this is a historic WR draft. There are only so many picks, one was bound to fall. Jones is worth that money, he got exactly what the market dictated - he was even more worth it when we have trash behind him (I know this place loves Lewis, but he's average)

You can put as many highly touted skill players on the field and it won't amount in a championship.

If we only had a 1st round pick QB to match all of the 1st round talent around him.

I wonder how many teams have as many 1st round picks on offense without one of them their QB?

Too much complaining about defense. The draft is not over, guys. But if we had taken Chaisson instead of Lamb, it would have been insane! Value in round one....a steal! Now we work on CB and DE going forward.

I wouldn't have a problem with the Lamb pick, but I said before the draft, why sign Cooper when a good WR prospect would be there? You could have avoided this and kept Jones.
Think about it this way. Lamb will have two years of experience when 1) Coopers guarenteed is up. 2) Gallup's rookie contract is up.

In Lamb you have ready replacement for either of them. Thats been one of the points the WR at #17 set has been making

He is not Randy Moss. Come on. They DO NOT play defense in the Big 12. I know the guy is good. I really do. Dallas didn’t need another WR. Not at all.

I was thinking the same thing. The Giants DID NOT need a DE/LB when chosen in '81. True Story....

Now I need Jax to take Jefferson and Philly to do something stupid.......... I'd prefer they not take Chaisson.

I mean it took 8 or 9 first round picks for the Steelers to finally have a respectable defense after a slow start.
